Shiro was the quiet, unassuming grandson to Kaguya. Kaguya had been one of those who embraced the concepts of all races working together to create a better world. He didn't discriminate against anyone, and had created one of the largest corporations dealing in all sorts of industries of creation.
From medicine to technological advances, he had worked tirelessly to make everyone's lives happier. Shiro had spent many of his younger years with his grandfather spending those summers learning many things. Then the tragic and heartbreaking news came... Kaguya had passed on. Everyone except Shiro was shocked... and the only reason that he wasn't shocked was that he had actually spent long enough with his grandfather to know that he wasn't well.
Everyone else either was a business associate, or too busy with their own lives. Of course they all came flocking when the 'old man' died, looking for their share of what they perceived as theirs. Shiro knew that his grandfather had changed his will only two years before, ratifiying it and ensuring that there could be no challenges. How it had changed he had not known.
Unfortunately Shiro hadn't had a chance to spend much time with his grandfather the last year... he had begun university and understood that only a good education would lead to success. That was partially why he was surprised to receive a summons from the lawyers who were dealing with his grandfathers estate.
He arrived two days later, right in time for the reading, and was the most shocked when his grandfather turned the company over to him, along with his home. The pagoda style large house was quite traditional in it's design, however it was much more than anything Shiro had ever known.
He had been raised to be humble, and though with a brilliant mind, he would go through a period of 'training' in order to take control of the company. Kaguya's sons and daughters were outraged, but were powerless to do anything, and they had received quite the substantial amounts of money themselves, so they 'let it go'.
Besides, only Shiro actually cared for his grandfathers company. From the reading, he was to be taken directly to his new home. For now, he allowed himself to be lead to the car... shocked and in a daze, he didn't really process what was going on... at least not yet!
