My perfect lit match would be an articulate, mature, sensual woman with as active an imagination as I have, one who is not concerned with real-life details, but only wants to share her deepest desires and fantasies. Please forgive me if I ramble, but your question got me thinking.

Some of the things I look for are friendliness, kindness, an intellectual curiosity, and a desire for at least intellectual adventure. There needs to be maturity, but age is irrelevant. Patience, too. I don't ask for much.

This is where the idea of an "ideal" becomes troublesome for me because I also want a sense of discovery as the relationship develops. Several years ago, I had a friend who had a list of characteristics she looked for in a man. She never found him. Once she gave up on the list, though, she found the love of her life. I'm not looking for the love of my life, but I still don't want to create and impossible ideal.

And what, dear verte_yeux, is in your mind for the ideal Lit partner?
