They come in waves, just like the "I got rejected for AI but I wrote it all myself its so unbelievable!!" (which is lowkey one of the reasons I approach those requests for help with distrust)

Speaking of food, I had a busy night:
My cherry pies oozed, which is perfect for Halloween. I tried to clean it up, but it just looked even more like a murder scene. This is four pies, not two pictures of the same two pies, lol.

Why do I love food? Well, not starving is nice, for starters.

I do love food but I'm not a very sophisticated eater by any means, my palate is very... boorish. And my sense of taste is kind of poor so I don't differentiate subtleties well. (I once went to a wine tasting, and it was so funny, there were these people going "I taste light flowery hints combined with fruity roundness" and I was like "tastes like wine, this also tastes like wine" ) One might have something to do with the other, I suppose.

What puzzles me is how uninterested I am in cooking compared to how interested I am in eating. Feels like these two things would go together nicely.

You and I are complete opposites here. Food is eaten out of necessity not enjoyment for me, so my desire to eat is low and I don't get hungry often. But I love to cook! Something about nourishing others and making them happy is deeply pleasing to me.

For our 'end of summer' block party last weekend I made oatmeal bread. Even the kids ate it (if it had enough butter or cheese on top, although if I'd thought to bring peanut butter, it would have been even more popular.)
