The house was nearly 80 years old but in great condition. the previouse owners had completely remodeled the house before up and leaving town one day and putting the house on the market the next. The house was two story's with an attic and a celler.
Susan and her husband Dan where walking through the house with the realator
" why are they selling so cheap? surely they put in double the asking price in repairs to the place."
Dan stood with his arms folded across his chest watching the short round relator scratching at his thining head of hair.
" well sir. they just didn't want to stay here when they found out what happened here 40 years ago."
Dan huffed at the man. " and what could have happened 40 years ago to make a family just up and leave and put the house on the market at less than half the price it's worth?"
the man was turning a little red and looked uncomftorably around them they where standing in the den just off the kitchen, the sunshine poured into the room. caughing the realator looked at the newlyweds. " well i suppose you should know if your looking to by the place. 40 years ago another family lived here. a couple and their twin daughters. the girls where just 19 years old at the time. well one night a couple of men broke into the place and murdered the family but not before they raped the girls. "
taking a breath he went on with the story.
" the next day the cops where here and they followed a trail of blood in the snow outside for nearly a mile before it stoped outside of an old barn. seems one of the girls hurt her attacker. anyways there was a stand off and the cops shot down the murderers in the barn. ever since then this place has been reported to be haunted by the girls and those two men that murdered them."
laughing uncomftorably the round little man waved his hands infront of him.
" of course we all know that only children believe in ghosts and haunted houses." he looked back and forth between the man and woman hoping that they still wanted the place.
Dan droped an arm around his wifes shoulders and looked down at her with a shrug of his shoulders and a bored look on his handsome face. Susan smiled up at him and knodded her head.
dan looked at the man and said in a mild voice. " we still want the house."
three weeks later the papers had been signed and sealed and the house was theirs. they had moved in and where setting up house.
