It's not the stories that decided this, it's the authors. They have the option of whether to have public comments turned on for individual stories or not--and can change that option at any time.

Personally I LOVE public feedback...good or bad. Hell, I want as much feedback as possible whether it's in the comments section of the story or mailed to me anonymously or otherwise.
Seems people are more prone to offer public comments than e-mailed ones much of the time from my experience (as limited as it may be) so have kept public comments opened. Particularly in a series the more comments offered in one story dictate how the next one will be laid out...

Sorry for the lack of public commmentary, mBrow. I've seen some of the cruder responses on the site and wanted to let the chapters go un-graffiti'ed until I could establish where the story was headed.
Once we hit Chapter 8, I'll probably allow public commentary on all the chapters.

The DeVilles was definitely one of the hottest stories I have read. Love seeing characters succumbing to their desires. Can't wait to see more from MonikerSmith.

The author has moderator rights over public comments and can delete any or all of them.

I don't think she does, though. That would require first person--although, I guess she could have someone else chew them for her and that would be OK with her.
