Anyone know what it is?

I have some older stories where the reads have dropped to a trickle, but they are still listed as "Hot" -- and my newest story, which has good velocity of reads does not. I presume it will at some point, but I'm just curious if anyone has reverse engineered the algorithm.

If I'm not mistaken, if your story has more than 10 votes and the score is 4.5 or higher you will get the 'H' It has nothing to do with reads.

It is a simple math formula: More than 10 votes, at least a 4.5 average rating or higher and your story gets a "hot".

That's it.

And depending upon the reads and the votes over the history of the story on Lit it can go up and down, and up and down.

I had a story that was published over 6 months ago that always had a "hot" fall to 4.9 last weekend and lost it, then this morning it jumped to 4.51 and got it back.

Anyway, that's all it is.

Presumably you mean "fall to 4.49"(?) I'd love to see my stories fall to 4.9.
