I hate it when people say they're going to leave my place at a certain time and hang out for a while after said time.

This is now the second time this has happened. I guess I'm jsut not as laidback as he is.

Maybe he really likes you. :)

the phrase would you like some coffee...in a to go cup oddly comes to mind.

either that or i push them out of bed and tell them its time to leave.

knowing when to leave is an incredible skill.

I guess he's just comfortable here.

I feel bad feeling like this- he's such a nice guy. I guess it was inevitable that I would find something that annoys me. There are worse things he could do.

Glam, I don't want to be too mean to him- he's too sexy for that, and we have like minds when it comes to many things.

He's just way more laidback than I am, and he knew that I had no plans tonight. I guess he figured it was no big deal to leave 4 hours later than he said he was going to.

Hmmmm....

Go into the bathroom, call yourself on the cell to your main phone. Run in and pick it up, do a few "uh-huhs" and hang up. Tell him a friend had a breakup, and is in a deep ice-cream eating funk, and you have to go.

Either that, or be firm, and tell him straight out that at *p.m., he's gone. You don't want him to do a Hussein on you, and stall until the last minute. He's a big boy.....isn't he?

Lost Cause- thanks for the suggestions. I think next time I'll just tell him I have plans afterwards so that he'll have to go at the time he said to.

The weird thing is, if I had known from the beginning that he was staying until 2 am instead of 10 pm, I wouldn't have minded at all. But at 10 pm I just expected to have my "alone time" and was a little put off by him assuming that it was ok to stay.

He did that to me on Thurs too- he stayed over and told me he had to leave for work at 8:30. Instead, he left an hour later. I was all dressed for the gym and itching to go- I would have figured he would have gotten the hint, but he didn't and took his time getting ready.

Am I weird for getting annoyed at something like this?

Wow ... nice areolas on the AV.

As to the over staying your welcome thing .. I really have nothing to say ... I just didn't want this to be a total high-jack.

No way- I'm not leaving him in my apartment while I go to the gym. He doesn't have keys so he wouldn't be able to lock the door after him when he leaves.

No, I'd feel the same way.

Smokin' av, BTW.

Who said anything about leaving him in your house? Fuck that. Tell him it's time to go. Any female can figure out a nice way of putting it.

Did you try saying, "Ok, it's time to go!" while picking up your keys and turning off all the lights?

If he likes you I'm sure he doesn't want to piss you off. I doubt he's clairovoyent, so you might just want to let him know how to make you happy.

Don't let things fester.

Anyone so obtuse and rude as to overlook this signal is a loser anyway.

People do a lot of stupid things when they're around someone that they'd like to impress.

I never thought of people that overstayed their welcome as obtuse and rude. I happen to like my mother, tyvm!

:D

Welcome overstayers irritate me because they are insensitive to others. Like loud music at night players and constantly going off car alarm havers, they should all be re-educated.

That's how I feel about it. I would have thought that me getting dressed for the gym and telling him that I was going there when he left for work was enough- now I know for next time that it's not.

Storm, thanks.
