A nasty city wasn't nice to the homeless, but of course the people that were not homeless thought they were better then other people. But every day a young girl is seen giving a lot of money at least once a week to the homeless, her stage name was Jade but very few people called her by her given name which was Melody. It was a very cold day, many people were homeless in New York City. Melody hated to see this and sighed a bit, but she heard a baby crying and turned she smiled seeing a man with his baby in his arms, she had to be at least a year old, Melody walked over and stopped.

"Excuse me sir....do you need some help?"

(Open for anyone wanting to take the role)

((hope you don't mind if I do. I just joined, but not new to roleplaying))

A young man, maybe around 18 or so, sat on the streets, leaning up against a rusted down old building that use to be a homeless shelter. Now it was just a pile of burnt ashes on the inside, a few sterdy walls bourding where it use to be.

The man was wearing a wife beater, exposed was his many scars that lined his upper arm. His hair was a longish brown, his eyes a darker brown. Dirt lined his face, but in his arms layed a baby, almost spotless, the small rag white as the sun.

The man then looked up at the women that had passed by him. He then looked down in shame. He hated his situation, and usually didn't want to bring anyone else in with him. He simply replied. "No thanks ma'am...but me and my bro will be fine." He said, holding his infant brother in his arms, rocking slightly.

(Nope not at all welcome!)

Melody looked at them and turned to move a few feet but stopped again, she bite her lip and turned again. "Please..." She said softly "Let me get you and your brother to a warm place, its getting colder, its supposed to be only 5 out" She said softly, her green eyes looked at him giving a kind smile, she looked down unsure of what else to do but was afraid if they stayed out, they would be killed because of the weather.

The man looked up at the women, a tattered jacket to his side that was filled with his brothers cloths. He then looked down at his brother, who was fast asleep. The wind blew over him once before he stood, goosebumps along his arms. He reached down and grabbed his jacket, keeping the small articles of clothing and blankets inside for his brother. When he stood, he stood up around 5'10", short for a guy. He was in a white wife-beater and black pants, shoes that could only be discribed as rattered.

He then looked at this women, his eyes meeting hers, noticing the green in them. He then said in a sternish tone. "Alright..." before nodding very slowly.

She nodded and began to walk beside him, her black hair that was up in a bun didn't move but her bangs did, she had bangs on each side of her face, she looked into his eyes. "My name is Melody" She said calmly. Her black jacket had a fur trim but of course she didn't believe in killing animals for there fur it was fake but still looked real, she was in the same area as her home and showed him to it, once inside she looked at him.

She motioned him to follow as she turned on the light to a nice big guest room and looked at him "Your bathroom is right there" She pointed on the other end of the room.

He looked at the room, white curtains covered the large window and white sheets spread on the bed. He looked down at them, taking one of the pillows and placing them on a chair, resting his little brother on it.

Once he had finished, he turned to the women, standing in front of her in ripe and dirty cloths. He spoke though, as a gentleman. "I thank you so much...but why are you doing this?" His eyes wandered to the room, than back at her.

Melody smiled "My parents would ask the same if they were alive, I hate people that have money and don't do anything with it, nothing that helps someone, besides not everyone in the city is horrible, I wanted to help you and your brother" She chuckled a bit "I wanted to paint this room not a big fan of white" She sighed a bit "Why don't you relax and I can get lunch around, what does your brother eat?" She asked not sure how old his brother was.

He paused for a moment, letting her soft words run through his ears. He let them rest as he closed his eyes, then he opened them and spoke. "I'll eat anything...and my brother needs only liquid or soft foods....but he's asleep, so don't worry...I feed him instead of me." He spoke, his tone as if he wasn't even living in the slums, but more of a corporate/comercial tone to it.

She nodded and grabbed a phone and dialed a number "Yes I need some groceries delivered to 22 rose drive, yes I need about 30 of those little glass jars of baby food, all verities, yes and my usual, ok thanks" She hung up and sighed a bit. "I will get us some lunch" She said softly.

The man stopped her by taking her arm lightly. He then smiled at her for the first time since they met, which wasn't too long ago. He then held up to her a 10 dollar bill, speaking. "If you could...buy me some cloths...anything. I don't mind."

He let her go slowly, but then stopped her agian by speaking. "By the way...I'm Luke. I'm 18..." as he extended a hand to her, trying to greet her. As a child, Luke's father always told him to respect others, expessially ladies. He was a gentleman at heart...and cruel fate had lead him to where he was before she found him.

She shook his hand "Its nice to meet you Luke, actually I think this will be a nice set up, I have no one left in my family and no friends, so I hope that you and your brother will stay here, because you can stay here forever if you wanted" She said softly "Once your little brother wakes and everyone has eaten I will take you cloths shopping and don't worry about paying me" She said softly.

Luke took her hand and softly kissed it. His lips were soft and clean, one of the parts of his body he kept clean considering his circumstance. He then let go of it and nodded. "Well...I'm off to a shower. Thanks so much for all the help. And if there is anything I can do to repay the favor, please let me know."

With that, Luke walked to the room next to the guest room into the shower, closing the door, not locking it. He sighed a bit and looked up at the ceiling, as if he was thanking god. He then removed his wife-beater and began to run the water.

She nodded and got some things set, when he was in the shower she set some cloths that were nice and clean, even boxers. The smell of food was in the air as she cooked, the delivery man was there and so she had baby food for his brother, everything set a nice pasta dish, with some soda and was all set, she could cook a 5 course meal out of hardly anything, she waited for Luke.

After about 10 minutes of scrubbing, Luke finnaly managed to rub himself clean. He opened the door from the shower room, mist filling the air. Along the railing he walked downstairs, wrapped in a towel, since his cloths where no where to be seen. He then noticed some cloths folded up on a desk. While reaching out for it, the smell of food aroused him. He looked over at her and spoke, almost in awe. "Is all...this for me?" While he was reaching for a shirt to put on, a smile illuminated his face.

She smiled and nodded "And for your little brother, have some food I think he will enjoy" She said softly she came over to where his brother was seeing his eyes open. "Hello there cutie, you and your brother will be safe here" She softly and carefully picked him up and walked over to him giving his brother to him. "Enjoy" She said softly and giggled a bit.

Taking the baby from her, Luke was in awe. Never before had he met someone so kind. He looked at her and, then down at the baby. "you here that Kyle...we're safe here..." he spoke, rocking the baby a bit. Kyle began to laugh and giggle, kicking his feet a bit, but overall stayed calm.

Luke sat the baby down on the couch, kissing him on the forehead before moving to his cloths, putting on the plain white t-shirt. His eyes moved back to the woman's as he spoke, now a lot more comfortable. "I'm not sure if I caught your name...and if I did, I appologize for forgetting already."

She smiled happily "Melody" She said sweetly as she walked over to him and kissed the side of his face showing she was harmless "Its ok no need to be so up tight" She said softly and she walked away from him and sat down relaxing a bit.

Luke couldn't help but to blush slightly at her reaction. He turned to his brother and gave him some of the baby food, but Kyle was already asleep again. It was getting pretty late. Luke couldn't help but laugh a bit as he kissed his brothers forehead.

Turning, Luke grabbed the boxers and white shorts from the pile. He slipped his hands under the towel that covered him, sliding on his boxers and shorts. He then dropped the towel and neatly folded it, sitting it where the cloths use to be. Brushing the towel a bit, he looked back up at her. Walking to her, he sat down next to her, speaking more calmly now. "Thanks a lot..."

Melody giggled some as she took a bite of the dinner she made looking into his eyes he was rather good looking. "Its funny when I tell people my age they think im 16" She giggled "We are the same age" She said softly, a nice smooth tone.

Luke took a small bite of his food, smiling as it felt sooo good going down. He then looked over at her and laughed a bit, for the first time in a while. "Really? I acually thought you might have been older. That's really cool though" he said, almost happy, as if a weight had been lifted from his sholders and he was a happy and free man.

Luke then took another bite, letting it slide down his throught. Letting out a small sigh, he sat back on the sofa, just looking around the house, than at her. He smiled at her, noticing how attractive she was. He leaned in and gave her a small kiss on the cheek.

She smiled happily and blushed, no guy had ever kissed her and she felt special in that moment, sighing happily Melody was happy, looking into his eyes she saw how happy he was. "How do you like my place so far? Isnt all that great but never wanted to live the rich life, being a singer isnt what its all cracked up to be.

Luke looked down a bit and laughed. "I know what you mean...my father was like that. He always persued singing...and he never got it. I guess that's why I'm where I am" he said, looking sad for a moment. Snapping out of it, he looked up with a smile, then spoke. "but I guess without him, I wouldn't be here..." he said, his brown eyes with a hint of a sparkle in them.

Something then came over Luke. He wasn't even really sure what, but it just sort of happened. His eyes moved to scan Melody's body slowly. While this was happening, thoughts ran through Luke's mind...Are you crazy? Be polite! What are you doing?

His eyes moved along every curve of her body, than back up to hers. He smiled a bit, blushing a small shade of red. He then spoke. "You are very beautiful...and attractive" he said in a soft tone.

She smiled happily looking at him "Thanks, your handsome yourself" She said softly, looking into his eyes as she slowly stood up, exposing more of her curves and went to clean up the dinning room she turned looking at him and winked at him in a kind manner.

Luke glanced over at his brother, who was sound asleep. He then grinned a bit and got up, now going off of his instincts.

He walked into the kitchen where she was. Walking up to her, his placed his hands lightly on her sides and looked deep into her eyes. While he was looking, he spoke softly "I think I know what I can do to pay you back." While he spoke, he gently rubbed her sides with his thumbs.

She smiled looking at him "Im not looking to get paid back" She looked down "Your the first guy that actually wants something to do with me, other men think im nothing but an eye sore thats why im alone and always have been, hell im still a virgin"
