The Handcuff Challenge is a reality radio show where two strangers are handcuffed together and dumped alone, for a week, at an undisclosed location where they'll have to perform a series of sexual tasks in what’s billed as the 'ultimate love test'
Boy Curtis Scott was nervous; it felt like his heartbeat was doing 200, it probably was as well. Curtis gazed up at the large clock alongside the unlit 'ON AIR' sign, 3 minutes past 10 in the evening, 2 more minutes until Curtis’s potentially infamous one week of fame begun.
The 5 foot 9, gaunt faced 19-year-old with messy short spiked hair brown hair, took a deep silent gulp whilst tapping his right foot anxiously as he asked in his own mind why the hell he was doing this. Curtis looked around the studio; the portly DJ 'Love' was sat in front of his Aladdin’s cave of studio equipment, reading some final prep notes as Rachel, a dark haired mid thirties female read out the latest news headlines in a husky smokers voice in her own separate booth. That’s it. No one else. They were going to heighten the tension by wheeling out his one week 'blind date' later then.
Curtis wasn't sure what he was more anxious about, the girl? The tasks? The fact he had been stripped down to a pair of rubber shorts? How would he be perceived by his friends who were oblivious to the fact he was a contestant, they simply took it at face value when he explained to them that he was visiting his sick grandmother for the next few days. Curtis’s new close college friends were probably just about the closet thing he had to family, his mothers drug-led misdemeanours was enough to see him being taken to an orphanage at six, never since that cold December day had he ever seen his mother nor indeed his siblings ever again.
and finally, the Bees finally broke their eight-game losing streak by defeating the Grizzles 6 to 2, now here’s the late-show with DJ Love. Curtis gulped one final time before slipping the large black headphones over his ears and wheeled his chair closer to the microphone as Zane boomed out in his customary excitable tone.

Could you speak louder into the microphone Curt?
Curtis: -clears throat- "Sorry, I’m doing great thanks."
Hm. If Curtis had the 'face for radio' he certainly didn’t have the voice, it was deep, low and gruffly.
Not to worry, I’m sure our microphones will pick up everything you say in the TripleX mansion. –sniggers- So tell us a little about yourself Curt, and why are you doing this?
Curtis: Well I’m 19, a computer science student, ahem, single, new to the area and just settling in and I’m hoping that I won’t have to worry about college loans with the money that this will bring.
You're new to the area? Do you know what you’re letting yourself in for?! I’m sure you’ll become quite a celebrity once you go back to your studies huh?
Curtis: "Uhm, I’m sure I'll be fine; I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Celebrity? Oh I don’t know. I'm sure it’ll pass over in no time and I’ll soon be forgotten about."
-chuckling- I guess you’re anxious to find out who you’ll be handcuffed to for the next week then? Who would be your ideal partner?
Curtis: "Ahh… not really thought about it too much to be honest, if we have some common interests that should set us up well, I love video games, is there a video console in the mansion?"

Curtis's voice quietened considerably during the short Q&A, the demeanour and tone of Zane’s voice did nothing to settle the nerves of the 19-year-old as he sat back in his chair, eyes flickering to all four corners of the studios anxiously, as he awaited the arrival of the female contestant.
