The Gross.. Guilty food thread

A year or two ago, I made something, don't remember what, that had a bread crumb topping: panko bread crumbs, grated parmesan, olive oil, and a bit of pepper. I made the mistake of tasting it before adding it to whatever it was that I was making. Occasionally, I mix up a small batch in a coffee mug (portion control lol), and eat it with a spoon.

This, my dear, sounds like a Friday night win! I will report back!

It's all to taste, of course, but I just add enough olive oil to make it all come together, and I like a lot of cheese. If you have a peppery olive oil, that works quite well, but any good olive oil will do.

mature cheddar cheese with a sharp marmalade/mature cheddar cheese with a tart raspberry jam - in sandwiches or, better, on ritz crackers

I can see why that could work to hit a variety of taste sensations at time; we came to citrus marmalade via quinces....so if membrillo and cheese works why not marmalade. And fruitcake and cheese is of course classic.

Marmalade reminds me of Pattington bear...
