Everyone has different ideas about this. But, it's a cliche that is used over and over, "the greatest love story ever told." Many have said this about Tolstoy's Anna Karenina.
What do you think is the greatest love story ever told, whether it is in book form or something you have seen in a play or film?
What was it about the love that made it stand out in your mind?
I think it's interesting to see what portions of a love affair people find significant.
I'm not really sure that I could answer my own question. I do think the story told about CS Lewis' love in the play and then movie Shadowlands is quite beautiful.
