The ocean wind ruffeled the bottom of Alyssa's almost transparent over dress. She was soon going to be sent away to some far off town and made to marry a man she had never met, all for the sake of an alliance. She sighed to herself and shook her head, her blonde locks curling around around her pale face. Her father had never let her out from the palace walls. She only had an idea of what life was really like.
She would run away, at least for a few days, maybe she could find someone to take her away, let her be a common person. She shook her head and made her way down the stairs. Her maids were flitting about, getting her things mostly packed and sorted. A bath had been run for her and she gladdly accepted it. The water was fragrant and she sunk into it thankfully. Alyssa would sneak out that night, and she couldn't wait.
