I like this idea, but let's say he gets all the handjobs he requests, just like any other patient. But the nursing staff has gotten so good at them, that he is amazed at how great they feel. He keeps thinking, "maybe ONE MORE DAY of collecting information..." until he finally has to admit that he is addicted to the sex. He gives up on his story and starts dating one (or more) of the nurses. Or he just refuses to get well and stays in the HJ ward forever!
