Greetings,

So here is my deal with a brief description of myself. As a historical buff, I am increasingly interested in the period from 1890 to the end of the First World Wa (1920). With this in mind, I'm trying to find what is the best erotica from this period. I am aware of Nana by Emile Zola, which I am currently reading, Richard Burton's Kama Sutra translations, etc, Autobiography of a Flea.

But I am missing something in what I would call my fetish for the Gibson Girl...any suggestions?

No suggestions, but I like your taste.

Let me know if erotic poetry is to your taste. I can offer some suggestions from the Decadents.

You might try Dara, by Lynn Bell.

Here's the blurb:

"From her teenage explorations into the eagerly-awaited and exciting territory of erotic experience, Dara goes on to sample all the bawdiest varieties of passion to be found in England and America in the sexy 1860's. From simple country girl to experienced lady, Dara's lovers range from uncouth farmers to the Prince of Wales himself!"
