It is still not clear to me what it is you are afraid of, what you are trying to protect. You insist it is ok to band together in order to drive away other posters that are not breaking any forum rules (cloudy as they may be), and then whine about other posters creating threads and making posts.

You tried The Dryer Lint experiment. It was a closed forum. It failed.

Once upon a time, before every thread turned to shit without two pages, there were voice clips and face bids and stripteases. It was possible to be reasonably sure that a person was either the gender they described.

I can look back at old threads with well over a thousand replies and almost no nastiness. Not counting in even numbers, but real discussion on fun topics.

The GB has changed for the worse in the last few years. I don't mean that in the rose tinted hindsight specs way, either. It's part of the reason for the rise in moderation, which used to be an extremely rare event.

Lance had it easier. The Clique are clearly intimidated by him and are afraid to stalk and bully him. Even if - in all fairness - he said some quite nasty things about a few female posters like LTR.

Lance loves negative attention. He views anyone attacking him as his victory. Most people simply have the sense to ignore him and not reward the nastiness. The barbs that bother you would make him giggle.
