"The latest form of the gateway theory is that it begins with [marijuana] and moves on finally to what laypeople often call ‘harder drugs.’ As you can see from the findings of our study, it confirmed this gateway hypothesis, but it follows progression from licit substances, specifically alcohol, and moves on to illicit substances.......A study published in 2010 in the medical journal Lancet ranked alcohol as the most harmful drug of all, above heroin, crack, meth, cocaine and tobacco. Even more striking: The Lancet study found that harms to others near the user were more than double those of the second most harmful drug, heroin."

Did you know that 100% of all heroin users drank milk as infants? There must be correlation.

Ahhhh but weed is a gateway drug....TO BEING POTUS!!! lmfao!!!

Never felt compelled to stick a needle in my arm or smoke rocks because of weed, in fact I quit drinking, ciggs and a couple prescription drugs I was on for pain management (that came with a horrid addiction and side effects btw) after I started medicating with cannabis. Now the only side effects are happy, hungry, horny and sleepy......no risk of OD!! On that note....blaze it up! :D

There is no doubt that alcohol is responsible for more deaths, more addictions, more violence and more abuse than any other drug...

Life is better sober if you ask me.

Do as you please. It is, well it is supposed to be, a free country.

Believe it or not but I agree with you. It's a numbers game though. So many more people USE alcohol that of course it will have more addictions, death, etc. than any other drug.

I'd disagree if you worded it as a percentage of users. I don't think that a higher percentage of users of alcohol are responsible for more deaths, addictions, violence and abuse than most percentages of users of other drugs. Maybe weed would be the exception.

'One! One note for alcohol!

Ah. ha. ha!'

*thunderbolt*

Some cannot handle the drink responsibly. 'Swhy the hubs got sober.

Please tell me you're not a John Denver fan.

That would yield a whole new dimension to your basement.

I am not. I always thought he was a weenie. Aspen is not full of people who love the mountains, Aspen is full of people who love money.

Good. We're on the same page, then.

Aspen is not full of people who love the mountains, Aspen is full of people who love money.
Every State has its focus for tourists who have no idea what the State's really about. People come here constantly and visit Yosemite and Disneyland and think they have a foggy clue about California.

This State feels your pain times ten.

And I agree with this, too.

I'm all for people being sober, but some people don't have that option....

I have the choice of a half dozen prescriptions with side effects as bad or worse than what they treat or weed. With the amount of opiates they had me on there is no doubt in my mind that choosing to medicate with cannabis and get off that toxic shit they were giving me at the pharmacy saved my life. So I'll take the weed, and enjoy the perks of amazing sex, food, cartoons, cinema and music while I'm at it.

Yes I embraced and incorporated the weed culture into my life, because the nerve damage, shrapnel and phantom pains are forever. Might as well make the best of it right?

Personally after seeing the benefits of cannabis I think it's absolutely criminal the gov. won't allow doctors to provide weed to cancer, aids, MS and patients with other serious medical conditions that could benefit from it because pfizer has yet to figure out how to put it in pill form so they can patent and sell it.
