OOC: I'm open to anyone jumping in with characters as you can see there are plenty of positions. Teachers, students new and old, town people, whatever.
IC:
Lisa had taken the librarian job with high hopes. Although she had worked hard for her degrees in English and History she just couldn't deal with people any more. Books were much safer. Plus in the library SHE was in charge, she could make people quiet down or leave.
Lisa wasn't small, she stood about 5'7 and took care of herself but, her entire attitude said she was tiny and frail and easily hurt. The wrong people always saw it, she'd hated high school and college never fitting in and always the butt of the joke.
Dear Valley was a small town, built around a very exclusive girls boarding school. A quiet town, the campus was mostly closed and when the girls came into town they were mostly well behaved, though they all walked with that 'I am the most important thing in the world' stride that Lisa remembered so well from school.
When she was at the school library they treated her with the utmost respect though she sometimes heard the giggles. They laughed at her for being soldyond and yet taking an old spinsters job.
Then the sky had fallen.
Announced at the end of last semester it would be a co-ed school, it would also be an open campus.
During the summer new houses had sprung up, as well as two bars and three eateries serving mainly pizza.
Students had been streaming in for weeks.
Steeling herself Lisa unlocked the school library for the first day of the new semester. She checked her dress as she walked back to the main desk. She had wavered about wearing such a dress but it got so hot in the library in the afternoon with the high windows full of light.
The fabric was light but, layered hiding her curves a little. Though short sleeved it kept her fairly well covered from neck to just below her knees. She didn't like how the belt pulled it all together though. She wore short heels
She long ago learned to hide her ample chest and full hips lest cruel jokes turn into groping. She was only 26 however and no reason to embrace her 'school marm' nick name yet.
