. . . everyone saying I am being judgemental., yet I cannot find a thread where I passed judgement on anyone.

I see threads where I offered up my opinion on what the bible says about christianity to contrast what some people assume the bible says about christianity.

There are a lot of assumptions made about what the bible says and means by people who at best haven't even read it through and at the least have only taken what other people, organizations, and religions as a be all to end all.

There are a lot of assumptions made about what the christian God should and shouldn't do with out taking the time to even read what He has revealed about Himself.

What there seems to be a lack of is willingness that society and people need to take responsibility for thier own actions instead of trying to pass the buck off to someone else.

But I guess all that makes me an asshole.

You're not an asshole. And not judgemental.

It's just that it seems to be the "in" thing to bash you.

Just shake your head and say "whatever".

I take *full* responsibility for my actions. I don't blame God or Satan or my parents for any of my choices.

I love the person I have grown to become.

But I am not a Christian.

And you claimed that Satan is not bothering with non-Christians because we are already his.

In that statement, you passed judgement on me... and all other non-Christians in this group.

And I didn't say you were an asshole...

...I said, "Don't be an ass, Todd."

The "newbies" just don't know how nice you are, Tood... I mean Todd-'o'-vision!

Even nice people have their moments...

Sorry, Todd... You just ticked me off, is all.

And I'm *not* a newbie! lol

Your OK in my book Todd!

Man you sure can get people stirred up.

You meet a lot of new people that way too.

Still its like trying to describe color to a blind person and more than a little like trying to teach a pig to sing when you try to explain what you said. and yet you still do it. and thats why there is only one "Todd".:)

I apologize to you as well my statemnet and thread was made in reference to several thread where several people in other threads alluded to the assumption that Satan made people do things.

In reality of the christian faith very little actions are caused by Satan. Satans primary focus in the view of christian belief is the hindering of christian growth, maturity, walk and life.

To anyone not a christian it shouldn't matter the christian ideas of where or what Satan, God, Heaven or Hell would have do with them.

The only ones that it should matter to is christians and those who contemplate becoming christians.

It's implied, when you used terms like "christian." If Christians are one thing (and the implication is that it's good), then everyone else is implicitly judged as being not good.

Todd-o- I dont see you as judgemental at all, Ya got to quit worrying about what others think. :)

You're so full of shit. It was a put-down to non-Christians, and you KNOW it. You are saying, in effect, "Hey, we (Christians) are better than you, and there's this terrible place called hell and you're all going to it".

And now you are backtracking by saying, "well, if you don't believe in hell, then it shouldn't worry you".

Belief is not the point. It doesn't matter who believes in God or Satan or Heaven or Hell. Your judgemental, superior attitude is the point. You're a hypocrite, and you're a liar to boot.

Why don't people like Problem Child? He's awesome.

PC calls it as he sees it.

:p

I realize that I'm just a newbie here but .....

it seems *funny* to me that some accuses another of passing judgment, but isn't that doing the same thing as well?

Being judgemental is fine as long as you have some logic and a decent argument to back it up. Without some form of judgement and consequence, you have anarchy.

And I did call Todd judgemental, but not because it irritates me. What irritates me is that he's one of the most judgemental people here but claims not to be. It's the dishonesty/hypocrasy that I don't like.

Just so. We all make judgements all the time. It's the pre-judgements based on belonging to a particular group that's the problem. Or claiming not to judge at all.
