Since the Beginning of time the Great Emperor has been the ruler of the Heavenly
Aristocracy. He was granted his throne at the Death of the Creator, who made all
things, and will return at the end of days. The Emperor was too keep watch over
the Wheel of time, ensuring that the Creator's coming was not delayed, and too
rule over Heaven and earth as a benevolent God. But The Great Emperor, the
August Personage of godliness, has died, his throne empty with no apparent heir.
He leaves the Heavenly Aristocracy in the Hands of the Eight Immortals, and their
servants. But in a world with no Emperor, peace cannot last. An heir must be
found. For Evil has once again awoken.

A Demon named Amanozako, has passed the 3 trials of Godliness, and become more powerful than any being living. The Royal Family of the Shining Empire lives in fear that the Heavenly Aristocracy can no longer protect them, and only their Second son Yu Shang-Ti remains strong.

He set the kingdom's greatest scholars to work to find something, anything, that
could save them, and it was found. The Four Soverigns. Elemental Guardians of
the Heir of Heavenly Aristocracy and the only Being's capable of Standing Against
one who has passed the Trials of Godliness.
Yu Shang-Ti has called a grand tournament to decide who will journey to the Isle
of Fusang, to take the Trials of Soverignty. The Greatest Fighter's, Arcane
Monk's, and powerful Warlords have all traveled to the Capital of the Shining
Empire: Penglai the Moutain City to find four Worthy of the honour.

All fights go until one contestant is unable to continue, or is knocked from the ring. The Ring itself is set on a raised platform in a grand arena so that almost anyone in the city regardless of social status or wealth may view the spectacle.

If you are interest Please let me know! The Story will follow four Warriors on their way to becoming the Elemental Soverigns. Progressing Through the Tournament and trials all the way to a showdown with Amanozako.

This story is loosely based on both Chinese, and Japanese Mythos, character's from either country would be totally acceptable. Although In Chinese Myth's Fusang is indeed thought to be what is now Japan I will have them set as two different places.

Characters: Please Include the Following Info for your character:

Name (If you want a distinctly Chinese Name: http://www.mandarintools.com/chinesename.html this site works great!

Age:

Height

Weight

Personality: I'm looking for personality flaws! I mean characters with actual flaws that help cause conflict and add to the story for example I don't want someone who is kind, sweet, and confident strong as a ox and absolutely brilliant, can bench press 40000 pounds and writes excellent poetry. I want flaws people, whether their self-centered underconfident or slightly unstable I don't care. But I also don't want someone whos totally Fucking Insane and kills people at random. Sorry Guys but I want a nice story!

History: Where are they from? What's their background? Etc.

Fighting Style: I would actually perfer if you made your own! Something Creative! It doesn't have to be immensly detailed but a description like this would be cool:

Imperial Death March Style: Totally Reliant on Momentum the Death March style starts slow, the strikes and blocks of the Practioner barely matching their opponent, but as the battle wears on they become faster. Their Fists strike harder, and their kicks become impossible to block. As their opponent wears, The Imperial Death March fighter seemingly becomes even stronger. Battering away the enemies defences and crushing them with one final finishing blow.

Lemme know what ya think and get back to me people!

OOC Here's my bio and things.Looking foward to seeing how this goes.

Name Andy Ling

Age 25

Height 5'8

Weight 90lbs

Personailty. On the outside Andy is easy outgoing and somewhat shy around people. However in battle he is extremly focused and never gives up even against the greatest of odds. His major flaw is that he lacks a killer instinct prefering to show mercy and his genreal trusting of people can lead to problens. Also hidden is the fact that his warrior side at times is at odds with his more peaceful nature which threatens to explode at times.

Background. Andy is the son of a diplomat and a young chinese women. HOs earlier yeears were spent focusing on his studies which left him suspectable to the local bullies were he lived. At the age of ten he was sent by his mother east to a local temple where the monks taught the young boy martial arts in between his studies. To their surprise the boy made fast progress having devloped a strong will from what the monks could not say. When Andy came of age he left the temple and traveled round the world consistently learning all he could about life and martial arts.

Fighting style . Soul Spirt Heart Style. Andy made this style up combining what he had learned from the temple with the various skills he picked up round the world on his travels. The user focuses their energy using the depths of the soul, spirt and heart. It is a fast style constantly moving adapting to the opponent and surronding and can be strong and ruthless yet nice and calm depending on how it is used.

There it is my characters bio.Looking foward to when this gets started.

ooc: Here is my characters bio if you would like me to join

Name: Guan-yin Lee
Age: 23
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 110lbs

Personality: Guan-yin seems like a very determined and forceful woman to everyone she meets. Never talking no for an answer or backing down from a challenge. In reality it is a front because she is very insecure about her skills and strives to prove herself by accepting every challenge that is given her, even if it can mean trouble for her. Her name means godess of mercy though she shows no mercy to her opponents in the fighting ring. She hides her insecurity well, knowing if her opponent caught on to it it could be used against her.

Background: Guan-yin is the daughter of a chinese master, one who always pushed her in her training, telling her she was never good enough, favoring her brothers over her. Her mother died when she was young and she was left to care of her family. Growing up as the only girl in the family was rough but she trained hard until she could best even her father when sparring. At the age of 18 she began fighting in tournaments, making her name known and teaching herself the different fighting styles of each of her opponents, working them into her own.

Fighting Style: Tiger Flower Fist Style. Guan-yin made up her style from various different martial arts, mixing the traditional chinese martial arts with the brazilian fight dance of Capoeira. The fighting style is acrobatic, using alot of kicks and striking techniques that can be done without being too close to the opponent. It also allows her the use of a weapon in some of her fights and she prefers to use a bamboo sword when not wishing to kill or maim her opponent and a kitana otherwise.

Name: Yu Shang-Ti

Age: 25

Height: 6'0

Weight: 200lbs

Personality: As the Second son of the Royal Family Yu was expected to become the Families Great Sorcerer, studying under his Uncle Cao. Though he had both potential and skill the mystic art's didn't interest him. He was a fighter at heart. Fiery and aggressive Yu took in an interest in the tatics and strategy's of men like the legendary Sun Tzu. He developed his own fighting style by watching the soldiers of his elder brothers armies.

Much to his brother's dismay, he often leaves the palace with his friends, most of whom are commoner's, and some of whom are little better than petty thieves. Yu is by no means a caring or charitable man, and all of his aquaintances know better than to try and seperate him from his money. He is fond of drink, and always eager to test his skills against a new opponent.

As a warrior he rarely loses, and when he does he accepts it as a lesson learned, so long as he has pushed himself to his limits. He is tempermental, and proud to the point of arrogance at times and in the past people have played his ego to get the better of him.

History: Yu is named after his father, and shares a name with his brother. He was born 15 years after his brother (Now the Emperor) and was only 3 when his brother ascended the throne.

For the most part, Yu was a pariah in court, as his origins were questionable. His Mother reputably was in the midst of a rather messy afair during the time of his conception and it was apparently unclear whom his father was. Facing constant rejections at court he turned to the streets for companionship and made many friends among the commoner's often using a fake name and background to fit in more easily.

His most notealble alias was Ao Nu Bei, son of a prestigous local baker. He accumualted quite a following as a Fighter opperating under this name, his private style becoming a instant favorite among many for its showy techiniques and sheer power. However when his true identity came to light during a bout against the Captain of the Emperor's guards he lost his favorite false identity and was forced to live a more tame life style. Training with his Uncle and developing his fighting style in secret.

Fighting Style: Imperial Wildfire

Yu developed his style by watching his brother's army train, but many of his techniques were inspired by a forest fire he witnessed as a child. His strikes are powerful and fast, and his opponents are often surprised by his sheer merciless brutality, often his kicks break through even the mightiest of defences.

However there is a very showman like element to his style, he is fond of dramatic strikes and his style reflects this his finishing techinque the Burning Hand is a open handed strike to the face, combined with a powerful crushing Dim Mak two fingered death strike to the diaphram. When delivered hard enough this technique can kill a person, and has in the past gotten Yu out some bad situations.

OOC: Dim Mak is a real Techinque know as the Death Touch, it isn't widely know but I believe a video of it can be found on YouTube. The Burning Hand techinque is his ultimate strike and is going to be VERY limited in it's uses, no worries he isn't going to be all powerful, his opponent needs to be severly disabled for his to use it.

Name: Hu Ai-liu

Age: 21

Height: 6'1

Weight: medium

Personality: Ai-liu lives by the three laws of Taisu, s long as they aren’t broken he doesn’t care. The first law is to obey the chain of command within the Taisu sect, the second is to offer mercy before killing unless thy yare traitors and the third is to never harm a woman outside the ring or battlefield. whenever one of these laws are not in danger of being broken, Ai-liu enjoys making people he likes happy and nothing else, if you happen to get on hi good side ten he would sacrifice his life for you.

History: Ai-liu was a stock standard child of two members of the Taisu sect and was constantly around it. He lived in the Taisu compound his whole life and is rather naive, although he learns quickly. During Amanozako's rise to power, the Taisu sect was all but destroyed, leaving few survivors. Ai-liu wants to avenge his people and regain the honor of Taisu.

Fighting Styles: Taisu consists of three schools, Muay Taisu, Nin Taisu and Jup Taisu. Each school is designed for different situations or used together to prevent your opponent from anticipating your movements.
Muay Taisu: Muay Taisu is the brute force styled version Taisu, utilizing the elbows and knees. There is no real dodging in Muay Taisu, instead the body is conditioned so that heavy blows can be blocked and ignored.
Nin Taisu: Nin Taisu is for stealthy back attacks and dirty tricks, it relies on being faster than then the opposition, waiting for the enemy to slip up and striking at a week point
Jup Taisu: Jup Taisu was made with outnumbered situations in mind, it relies on hit and run maneuvers, often used with a long weapon to improve striking distance. Masters of this style can make it seem as if they are dancing.

Well thats four people, I'm not gonna say this thread is closed, but for now I think we have everyone we need to get this show on the road. I will post the IC thread in the morning as my first post needs some fine tweaking as of yet.

Hey Aries if anything changes and you need another player for any reason let me know, I wish i had not missed out on this one it sounds great. Also you have one of my favorite co authors on board, she well keep things exciting.

WOW hey I said this Thread is NOT closed people! I could still use more characters! Especially since the guy's outnumber the girls!

Hey Aries it is nice to know I am wanted LOL, if you have a character in mind for me, like a travel companion or something let me know. All great heros have a companion.

Hmmm I don't have any characters in mind specifically, but it'd be cool to have someone to kinda balance out the Warriors, maybe a Alchemist, or Handmaiden, or something along those lines?

I was talking to keana and we thought it might be fun if I was her campaion kinda like Xena and Gabby, only i want to be like a mystic, or a priestess, if this well fit in with your story line. Let me know and I well develop a bio and history between Keana and I.

Sounds great! Have at it I will wait for your bio before posting the IC thread.

Elizabeth Sun-Ling
Age 24
5'7 slim in build 34-24-34
black hair with honey colored eyes.

Personality: Beth as Guan-yin Lee calls her is very shy almost to the point of not goin out in public, she had a strict up bringing and knows her place, Guan-yin is her only friend and the only person she really trust.

History: Being the only child of a Priest she was raised to follow her fathers foot steps. Her mother had been a white slave in her fathers village until he had taken her for wife. Beth was thus named after her in memory since her mother passed away at her birth. She was happy with the lot she had been dealt in her life spending most of her time preying and meditating as all priestess's did she was very warry at first when Guan-yin befriended her trying to draw her out of her shell. As a full Priestess she has been sent with Guan-yin as a campanion and healer, allowing her abilities to grow as she is needed, her and Gaun-yin have known each other for years as they both sereved at the same temple, Guan-yin as a fighter and her as a priestess.

Fighting style: Beth really did not have a fighting style although Guan-yin has tried to train her, saying that she is a good student but would be better if she fought with more heart.

How did i know you would chose fire? Its always the first to go.

Would water get ice as well?

Very nice Aries, I can not wait for the thread to get under way. It should be very interesting to see how things play out, just one question as the main players battle to the top well they just narrorate their fights since there are no other players????

I can't believe I have missed this all this time! Ehem. Okay. I will play ALL the opponents at First UNLESS you are fighting each others. Each Category will have unique opponents both of the Human and Supernatural Sort. If two people are in the same Category feel free to pound the hell out of one another. But for other fights I will take the role of opponents. And Yes Water would get Ice though FIRE does not get Lava. Thats an Earth Thing.
