I originally didn’t get the J.D. Vance as “Famine” reference, but then I remembered that J. D. Vance has a financial interest in a company that snaps up family farms after they go bankrupt from this administration’s trade & tariff "policies".
Bottom line:
The basic premise of the analogy could NOT be more poignant.
