So I played an RPG a few months back (it was a journaling one) where with the prompts provided I wrote up a story about an old man who goes out into the woods each day trying to capture the magic the forest once had while also running from a lifetime’s worth of trauma, blind to the fact that the magical forest of his youth was now a rotting mess of evil that only services to ensnare the lost and hopeless.
Now that wouldn’t make a good erotic story But earlier events in the story might:
So the flashback in the story was of a mysterious woman who invited a group of young men and women into the forest. She was charming and lovely and she led them to a small orchard where they all enjoyed sweet fruits from the branches and then they all made love. Soon it became their escape from a harsh world and the group began to work the orchard promising to care for it till the end of their days…not knowing that each of them would die and their deaths and tragedies would feed the orchard with the main character’s death being the last sacrifice necessary to awaken a sleeping god that lived in the forest.
But for a more general idea:
A group of desperate people who live on the edge of a forest retreat into it either to escape something (loveless or abusive relationship) or to find something (food, peace, company) and as they meet, their needs are met in mundane or strange ways. But each time they go, it takes more effort to go back. At first they just blame it on the other members of their impromptu group as they are now regularly meeting for sex and companionship in the woods…but even when they are alone it feels like they can’t leave.
And even when they do, some of the forest comes back with them.
