Can you write a story in about five lines, can I?
Everything checked out, at the flick of a switch he would be transported back 370 years.
Hundreds of people were waiting to see what message he would leave for them.
Would he return before the message? Would it just appear, or was it always there?
Flick.
It all worked perfectly, his only miscalculation, the earth was not where it is now, 370 years ago.
