We sadly still live in a world where men are revered as studs if they live a promiscuous lifestyle and women are meanwhile STILL considered "sluts" for wearing a short skirts, let alone fucking who they want when they want.

Women that chase openly promiscuous men aren't ridiculed as lesser or weaker women for their choice in men where as a man that gets involved with a woman that's openly promiscuous or has ever been a sex worker is openly ridiculed in 2020.

This double standard needs to end. As a society we've made great progress in accepting the LGBTQ community (still lots of work to do for sure) but we haven't made the same advancements with a women's choice.

When are we going to tell society to fuck off? Enough with the slut shaming and judgement.

In my experience, the alleged double standard isn't as real as posts like this would have people believe. The first time I heard "man whore" was when some friends of mine were talking about a guy who slept around a lot. They weren't using the term in a positive way. That was in the 80s. Now it seems like everyone's pretty much okay with men and women doing whatever they want sexually.

I think the issue was more about people not being very discriminating in their choice of sexual partners. Sometimes it seems like personal choices and self respect go off the rails, and people do judge other people for it (men and women).

But, I agree that it's nobody's business as long as no one is being hurt.
