i've never quite understood "i have more value than you as a person" type arguments.

i know that i size people up. rarely does my esteem depend upon their financial success. when it does, it's usually an inverse relationship simply because people who measure their worth by financial success tend to lose their souls in the process of succeeding.

and i have never presumed that i have more "value" than someone else. i have things to offer some people and i hope that they will like me, to boot.

i do know that i'd welcome the chance to pop an abita top with bronzeage or to eat some of skye's tortilla's. and i'd welcome the chance to hear UD tell of his romancing recidiva. all those folks could add value to my life. i think they have lots of value.

Assholes at work set me up good. Now I gotta oversee making sure people get their licenses and go tier-3 thus eliminating tier-1's and making it unnecessary to offshore them.

For those of you who don't know what tiers mean, it means when you have investment accounts, you won't have to be transferred by a lowly account rep to a broker - the first rep you get WILL be a broker. It's like E-Trade, really.


I'll never get my vacation at this rate.
