This is a loosely structured challenge

to play along is simple, take the last part of the poem posted before and use it to begin your next poem.

this will be similar to playing telephone when we were kids. the end result will always be really different then the beginning

a couple of ground rules.

1 if you are going to play and use the last part of the poem before please claim it so that others don't use that one. Your poem needs to be done quickly, say no more than 6 hours. so that the next poet can take up the thread

2 when using the last part of poem you must use a minimum of two consecutive lines, if it fits you can use the entire stanza, no more then that, no breaking it up or paraphrasing.

3 have fun be creative, let the poetry be inspired.

Wild Places

to trace lines that dont exist
one step,
opening doors when the lights are out
two step
crossing borders without a passport
bold step
exploring with a blindfold
soft step
find a spot
any spot
on the map with out boundries
one step, two step, bold step, soft step
dancing a freedom jig

one step, two step,
bold step, soft step
dancing a freedom jig
while tangled in the sheets
first time divorcee
sex feels like
the eagle of liberty
flying from my loins
penetrating your hot body

the eagle of liberty
flying from my loins
penetrating your hot body

seek and destroy
my war-bird embarks
soaring past
with a sonic boom

thrusters ignited
trailing flames
a layer of evaporation

with the speed of sound
behind your back
we journey to the land
of fragrant oil and myrrh

where the hell is everyone

The poor poetry board has gone to shambles
we used to have to many post to count and now we are lucky to get ten posts a day where is the inspiration the comraderie ?

we journey to the land
of fragrant oil and myrrh
dancing girls cavort and twirl,
each twist and turn
conveys a meaning leaving
our senses spinning
and our bodies
crying out for more
until morning light finds us
alone again to wonder.

Mardi Gras

until morning light
finds us alone
again to wonder

follow the path
of nightly whorers
down the bourbon trail

selling favors for beads
the ultimate titillation

boos pour freely for
unopened tops

shaking inebriated disgust
i feel the beads of guilt
twisting around my neck

i feel the beads of guilt
twisting around my neck
but was the sin mine
or yours?
If truth be told we both
must take the blame
for I truly surrendered
to the beguiling secrets
whispered into the night.
Promises of thrills
so dark, so dangerous
so wrong, yet the pounding
in my brain knew
that I would follow

i feel the beads of guilt
twisting around my neck
but was the sin mine
or yours?
If truth be told we both
must take the blame
for I truly surrendered
to the beguiling secrets
whispered into the night.
Promises of thrills
so dark, so dangerous

in my brain knew
that I would follow

so wrong, yet the pounding
in my brain knew
that I would follow
the loud bass I cant resist
cause another dance tune
is calling me, again.
My oh my, I love
being here,
away from reality.
Oh darn that reality.
Tomorrow so so early,
I must go back to work.
