Let's look at Texas law:
§17.46(b) of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act provides that it is a false, misleading or deceptive act or practice to take advantage of a disaster declared by the Governor under Chapter 418, Government Code, by:

  • Selling or leasing fuel, food, medicine or another necessity at an exorbitant or excessive price; or
  • Demanding an exorbitant or excessive price in connection with the sale or lease of fuel, food, medicine or another necessity.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a man who hates homosexuals almost as much as you do AJ, has said his office will not investigate any claims of gasoline price gouging because of the uncertainty of crude oil availablity. One Texas convenience store immediately raised their price to $20 a gallon.

Back in 2014, Michelle Obama invited a food services director from California to the White House for a round table discussion. Reportedly, the first lady wanted to pick the guy’s brain for ideas and suggestions on how to get school kids to eat healthier.

The guy’s name is David Binkle. If you live in Los Angeles, this name is probably very familiar to you because he is making headlines this week.

Binkle has been indicted for stealing $65,000 in public funds. You have to laugh, or perhaps cry when you think about how Michelle Obama and her husband have a knack for circling themselves with losers.

On Tuesday, an article published in the L.A. Times revealed that Binkle had been charged last week with multiple counts of embezzlement, misappropriation of public funds, conflict of interest, forgery, and perjury. Keep in mind, this is a guy Michelle Obama pushed as being a voice of promise regarding the health and well-being of school children. Binkle, who is a chef by training, was the head guy to oversee the nearly 700,000 meals per day served to students in Los Angeles. He was paid an annual salary of $152,000.
