Greetings friends. I have been out of commission of late due to weather woes here in Louisiana. Fortunately, things have taken a turn for the better, and we are all bearing up after yet another near-catastrophe.

During my time off-line, I read The Dying Animal, by Phillip Roth. For those of you who haven't read it, please take the time to add it to your list of things to peruse. The book is remarkably short, but intense and completely absorbing. The novel follows an aging professor through his love affair with a far-too-young graduate student. The May-December flavor of the relationship gives the novel a very elegaic quality.

Exquisite... and at my age, spine chilling ;)

Delighted you surmounted the weather woes :rose:
