Falcon International building

Zurich, Switzerland

To the general world population Falcon International was a stock broker to the world dealing with high profile clientele ranging from celebrities of the acting and fashion world to multi-national corporations. That front hid the true nature of Gabriel Falcon the head of the organization. It's true function was as FIST a black market intelligence agency providing services to the highest bidder which normally would be reserved to governments. To the employees of FIST they were led to believe they were working for a top secret branch of NATO and the UN. A secret well-kept due to Falcon's close relations with powerful members of each group.

Anabelle Devereaux sat alone in the briefing room reading over a file. The name on the file Evelyn Roy was the name she was known by at FIST. As an employee of Falcon International she was a member of technical support but she was in actuality a highly skilled hacker, codebreaker and agent of FIST.

As she read over her case file an older man stepped into the room giving a small corner of his lip to a smirk as he eyed Anabelle.

His salt and pepper hair was slicked back and he dressed in a navy blue suit with a matching blue tie over the back drop of a grey shirt. He took his seat at the head of the long round table in front of a projector screen not saying a word to Anabelle as the two awaited others to gather. Once the room had filled up with three more people, including Anabelle's partner, their handler and one of Falcon's senior associates. Gabriel Falcon adjusted his cuff links and stood up.

"Good evening. We have been designated to undertake a very important mission." Using a remote he turned on the projector which showed a picture of the company ChemiCore's main research facility.

"It has come to our attention that ChemiCore has developed a very powerful device which we believe they plan to sell to the Koreans and hasten a conflict between the North and South." He clicked a button and another picture replaced the building, this time a computer room.

"Our intel suggests that the research pertaining to this weapon lies in this mainframe. The objective is simple, retrieve the information. Remove the existing research data from their mainframe and bring the data back here for us to analyze and to be sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Unfortunately it is unclear whether the research has been put into practice or the magnitude of what that information pertains to." He took a moment to clear his throat as he looked over the faces of all that had gathered.

"Understand that this mission is of dire importance as it could have ramifications that could alter or even destroy the world as we know it. Are there any questions?" He spread his arms as he opened the table to discussion. Anabelle flipped through her briefing before looking up to the man who was her father.

"Yeah, why don't we just do this by proxy? It will be less risk and faster." She cocked an eyebrow as she awaited his response.

"Unfortunately miss Roy, ChemiCore runs all it's systems internally and there is no way to infiltrate their systems unless we are there directly. I do not expect there to be any risk. Their security systems are fairly routine and bypassing their systems and security should prove to be a simple task. Mr. Storm should have little problems escorting you to their mainframe. Is there anything else?" Anabelle shook her head slightly, looking over to the man who'd she'd partnered with on several missions already.

Leo Storm - Informer

Leo Storm listened quietly as the outline of the mission was given. ChemiCore was developing a new device to speed up the conflict between the North and South. He picked up his file and paged through it. He glanced over at his partner, Evelyn. They had been paired several times before on various missions. She was a highly trained hacker. He was a guardian, of sorts. It was his job within FIST to keep her alive during their missions. He had a different objective in mind, but he kept it to the far back, hidden in a locked box. The key is to make your own think you had betrayed them. That was the way to succeed.

He looked back up at Gabriel Falcon and then glanced over at Evelyn as she asked her question. He had wondered that himself. Internal systems. Always increased the danger level. But if they have internal systems their security can't be routine. There was something Mr. Falcon wasn't quite telling them. Leo caught Evelyn's eyes as she looked over at him. Something wasn't right here. He shook his head. He knew everything he needed to know. Escort his partner to the mainframe which she will hack into and take care of things.

He wondered if there was going to be another party they had to infiltrate like on their last mission. He hoped not. Dancing wasn't something he liked to do.

Gabriel awaited further questioning but after a few moments of silence he turned off the projector and hefted the file that had sat before his place.

"Alright then. You all know the drill. Mr. Dexter will finish briefing you and I will be in a meeting. Good luck." He left the room eagerly only giving one more glance to Anabelle as he exited the room along with the associate, leaving Dexter to the details.

"Well. What Mr. Falcon considers routine I believe is quite intricate in that as a dedicated server there will not be any way to cut security feeds from the outside. To our luck however we have someone with clearance within ChemiCore to provide assistance. The shift change for security is at exactly midnight which means we have a two to three minute window in which to take advantage of the switch. The man we have on the inside will distract security long enough for Mr. Storm to escort Miss Roy inside and into the security station. We consider all personnel within the building expendable but we will leave your methods up to you so long as you disable the personnel within the security room. You will then proceed to the lower level of the building to the mainframe wherein you will be able to download the information and meet the driver we have provided and return the information. It sounds simple but indeed it is much more complicated." Dexter himself brought up a slide and moved to the side as he turned the projector back on. The first slide was of an automated machine gun.

"If you are to be spotted by the security personnel they have automated weaponry which for our own luck we provided the contact for but nonetheless if you aren't swift I assure you the results will not be pleasant." He again clicked to a new screen. This one was of an intersection.

"You will leave the building and be picked up at this intersection; our driver will be in a black van. In total you have three minutes to get down into the mainframe and fifteen minutes to retrieve the information, wipe their systems and escape. We have your gear prepared for the mission and you will be leaving in less than an hour so I suggest you study your case files well." Dexter himself left the room quickly not looking to field questions. Anabelle looked over her file and shrugged.

"Seems pretty straightforward. Get the info before the bad guys do, save the day and grab a cocktail. So long as you have my back I'm not really worried." She smiled at Leo as she half-heartedly flipped through the briefing.

Leo Storm - Informer

Leo followed Mr. Falcon's movements out of the corner of his eyes as he left the room. He caught the look he gave Evelyn when he moved out the door. Interesting. He turned his attention to Dexter, their handler, as he explained further. His earlier suspicions were proven correct: there was more to it. Things were never simple. Automated weaponry wasn't really a problem if they didn't get detected. Security shouldn't be a problem, and it was better that they didn't remotely disable the systems anyway. The cyber attack would be noticed and ChemiCore would go on alert, which would be moderately bad.

Dexter left the room quickly, not looking forward to questions. Leo looked over at Evelyn as she spoke. Bad guys? Hmm. She apparently wasn't aware that FIST were the bad guys.

"You know I've got your back." he said calmly in his low voice.

He flipped through his file once more before setting it down. The operation sounded simple enough. But the "device" was something he was interested in. He glanced over at Evelyn again, keeping his eyes indescipherable as was his usual.

Never one for too many words Leo always knew what to say. If not for him this mission would be a much bigger deal, he was a comfort to her on these sorts of things. Especially after the last mission, if it wasn't for him she would have been a chew toy for those boys in Afghanistan.

"Well I'll go get geared up. See you in the chopper." She hefted the briefing and passed by him on the way out the door, running her hand over his shoulder on her way out.

A half hour later she was suited up and on her way to the chopper. Her backpack was full of everything she would need on the mission. She got into the chopper a bit surprised to find that Leo had as of yet not made his way there. Usually he was prepared but she didn't think anything of it and hopped into the chopper as it started up. They still had fifteen minutes before it was time to leave but she was eager to get it over and done with. Playing hero seriously ate into her clubbing time. Maybe after the mission was done she would convince Leo to go hop a few bars with her.

Leo Storm - Informer

Leo flinched internally when her hand ran along his shoulder. He was breaking the first rule. He stayed a few minutes after she left, sorting his thoughts. He picked up his briefing and left the room, heading to get his things together. A comfort? If only she knew.

He got his things together, including his unique katana he carried on most missions. He pulled the blade out of its sheathe and looked at the blade. It was beautifully forged. He re-sheathed it and pulled on his glossy, midnight black infiltration suit. It was sleek and had various pouches that he filled with the equipment he figured he would need. If he doesn't have what he needs, he can find it on the field. If he can't find it on the field, he doesn't need it anyway.

He picked up his N/T/EMF/S goggles (Night/Thermal/Electro-Magnetic Field/Sonar) and looked over them. The three red dots on the single goggle would cover his left eye, leaving his right open for aiming, though he can fire lefty or righty, it didn't really matter. He let them hang from his hand as he moved to the helicopter.

He took his seat in the chopper across from Evelyn, giving her a brief nod as the chopper took off.

The flight was several hours long and took them from Switzerland to Munich, Germany where ChemiCore's research facility was located. They were dropped off a couple miles away from the complex and driven the rest of the way by the same black van that would be picking them up.

The building itself was surrounded by a fifteen foot tall fence with standard barbed wire meshing at the top. Three pairs of security detail roamed the outside of the building, watched over by security cameras on each corner as well as several pole-mounted cameras spotted along the field. The time was 11:59pm the guard switch was about to take place. From that time they would have three minutes to get inside the building and make their way down to the mainframe. Evelyn followed closely behind Leo knowing well enough that following him and doing exactly as he said was the only way this would go off without a hitch. Her training at infiltration was basic in comparison to his.

"Those two guards there." She pointed to the two moving along the south wall.

"Once they pass around the corner we have exactly forty five seconds to get into the building. Then another two minutes fifteen seconds to bypass the interior security." She knew she didn't need to remind him but her nervousness drove her to state that fact anyway. Breathing in slowly and deeply to keep her calm she awaited him for direction.

Leo Storm - Informer

Leo lay on the ground as he watched the patrols, getting to learn the patterns of the patrols and the cameras. Ah, there was what he was looking for: a blind spot in the camera's rotation. The outer security was rather sketchy. The inside, however, he wasn't so sure about. He slipped on his goggles and flicked on the EMF mode. He scanned the area again. No laser tripwires. This might be easier than he thought. He nudged Evelyn and pointed to the blind spot.

"When I give the go, that's where we're heading. Stay behind me and we'll be alright." he whispered, leaning closer so he wasn't overly loud. Stealth was key for this op.

Barbed wire shouldn't be a problem. He had a mesh to throw over it so they could climb it. He glanced at his watch. 23:59:59, the guards stepped around the corner, 00:00:00.

"Go." He whispered.

He stood and moved quickly but quietly to the fence, throwing the mesh over. He gave Evelyn a boost over before climbing over himself. He pulled off the mesh and dropped the fifteen feet, rolling when he hit the ground. He held an arm in front of Evelyn to stop her. Wait for it...wait for it...The cameras turned and he started forward again, moving to a side door. Locked of course. He pulled out a lockpick and opened the door quickly.

Leo pulled Evelyn inside and closed the door. He pressed her against the wall, trapping her with his arm. He waited a few seconds and no alarms sounded. Five seconds ahead of schedule. Not bad. He released her and made a follow me gesture. He moved completely silently, moving around corners when he saw the way was clear. Occasionally they had to stop a few seconds for a guard to move away or avoid a camera or tripwire. Losing time...

They made it to the room with fourty five seconds to spare. Leo glanced over at Evelyn and pulled out his silenced MP5. He opened the door a crack to see where the guards were. There were five in the room overall. He opened the door and it slid open silently, well oiled. That was good. If the door wouldn't have been oiled, it would have made noise when it opened. He brought up his rifle and calmly put a round through four guard's heads, his weapon's shots a whisper on the wind. He brought the butt of the small rifle into the fifth man's face, knocking him down cold.

He gestured for Evelyn to enter and he shut the door. He dragged the guards into the corner while he set Evelyn to work on the security.

Despite previous missions she still winced at each shot fired, the ending of four lives was quick and didn't sit right in her stomach but those four lives were responsible for the saving of millions. She wasted little time tapping into the mainframe and going about bypassing the various security systems. As good as these defenses were she was better and even with a few hiccups she was in the system within a minute and a half.

"I'm in. Found the files, downloading... now." Her fingers moved swiftly along the face of the keyboard and soon the screen was filled by a bar counting up from one percent to one hundred.

"Thirty seconds and we're done. Is evac ready?" She queried as she prepped a small computer spike which would completely reset their systems erasing any data stored. As the download finally completed she pulled the memory stick from her laptop and sent the spike which effectively disabled their systems as well as giving a three minute loop on security feeds so that they would have a clear run to the exit. With her gear packed she turned to see Leo with his hand to his earpiece. Normally she would be able to hear anything being broadcast to his but hers was dead.

"What's going on?" She asked, her eyes narrowing suspiciously as she tossed her pack over her shoulder all the while lowering her hand down to her hip where her pistol was holstered.

Leo Storm - Informer

Leo turned and watched Evelyn bypass the sytem's security, still impressed with her hacking skills. He turned to the downed man who was coming back around. He hit him in the face again and he dropped. He turned back to Evelyn when she said they were in. She started the download. Leo turned to the door to keep watch. Nothing came up, and the download finished without any further incident. Evelyn put the spike in.

"Agent Informer." came a brisk voice from his earpiece. He placed a hand on it and tapped the mic button twice. "We have just recieved information about your 'partner'. Her real name is Annabelle Evelyn Devereaux. She is the daughter of Gabriel Falcon. It is imperitive that you get her back to SIS headquarters ASAP. Do not break cover until you enter the extraction van. It will be replaced by one of ours. Communications to FIST have been cutoff. Kestrel out."

He glanced over at Evelyn, keeping his eyes normal. Well, his normal anyway. His eyes tracked her hand going down to the pistol at her side. He came up with a cover quickly.

"Command making sure everything is going smoothly. Odd that they contacted us during the mission, though. Comms trouble?" he asked, lying smoothly. "We'll get it looked at later. We have to move."

Leo gestured to the door and opened it, pulling her with him gently. He brought the rifle butt around and it smashed into the face of another guard. That's not good. he thought to himself. He started on a brisk pace, making sure Evelyn could keep up with him. Regardless of his knowledge of her identity, he still felt he was her partner, and wanted to protect her. He opened the back door slowly, making sure it was clear. Guards should be away from this spot for now. He pointed to the fence they climbed over on their way in and pushed her out the door lightly. He followed to the fence and threw the tarp over, giving her a boost over before following himself.

They moved to the evac van, looking exactly like the FIST one. He opened up the door and helped Evelyn in. The van moved like normal, giving away nothing. Leo pulled off his goggles and sighed, an unusual display of emotion. The goggles hit the bottom of the van.

"I'm sorry, Evelyn." he said softly.

When she turned to face him, he inserted the needle of a syringe into her neck and pushed the plunger down. It was filled with a knockout sedative. Should be good for, oh, twelve or so hours. He caught her before she hit the ground, one hand on her lower back and one behind her head. Her eyes fluttered. So sorry.

Leo sat, holding the woman in his arms as the van went to the airport. Leo picked up his goggles on the way and made sure to remove and tracking devices from Evelyn's body and gear. They boarded a helicopter and Leo still held Evelyn. They were taken on the few hour long flight to a remote base. Leo entered the base and left Evelyn in a bedroom/interrogation room, relieving her of her gear and clothing. He, of course, left her with a change of clothing. Just a simple uniform.

He left the room, nodding to several officers he walked past. Several actually saluted him as he walked by. Leo entered another room and came face to face with Kestrel himself. He was subjected to a long debrief and then sent to his quarters.

"Hmm." She wasn't so sure there would be a malfunction in her equipment but at present there was no time to debate so she followed him out as she did on the way in, up over the fence and into the van.

"I'm sorry, Evelyn." Those were the last words she heard as her partner caught her off-guard. Before she could resist him the fluids of the syringe were injected into her blood stream and her strength waned. She tried to force her eyes to stay open but soon they forced themselves closed, the last thing she saw was her partner before all went black.

Switzerland

Gabriel Falcon sat in a meeting with the usual suspects of suits with the usual dictation of numbers and projections. What wasn't usual was the entrance of yet another suit who approached Falcon. The man had earlier sat in on their briefing before the Germany mission.

"There's been a problem in Munich. We've lost contact with the agents." He whispered into Falcon's ear causing him to clench his teeth as he contemplated a response.

"We need that data. Find it, find the agents and eliminate them." Falcon's response was a simple matter of math, to him it was a simple equation and the loose data was very much a danger to him considering his client.

Undisclosed location

She woke up, groggy from the contents of the syringe and naked in a room devoid of anything other than a bare bed and a plain uniform. She had no idea what had occurred or what was going on. Anabelle quickly clothed herself and stumbled around the room, trying every door but found them all locked. Even the window was sealed shut and blocked to prevent her from gaining any bearing of geography.

The only thing she did see was a security camera in one corner which cleared things up somewhat. It confirmed to her that she was in trouble but just how much she would soon find out.

Leo Storm - Informer

Leo woke from his brief sleep. He sighed and sat up in bed. He rubbed his neck and stood, going to shower. He changed out of his current clothes and into his usual clothing. Black pants, a grey t-shirt, and a black workshirt unbuttoned over it with his black boots. He ran a hand through his hair. Here comes the hard part. He opened the door to his quarters and moved down the hall and outside. He took a deep breath of air before getting on his motorcycle and heading to the base.

He went through the security checks and was in the building. He walked down the halls, recieving several salutes which he waved off. He never did like it when they did that. He took a file off the table outside the door and entered the room, eyes taking in Evelyn's appearance.

"Hello, Evelyn." he said calmly as he set the file on the table.

"Take a seat, please." he said in just as calm of a voice.

The door finally opened and a familiar face came in, dropping a file on the table. Leo told her to sit but she wasn't interested. Hugging her arms she paced around the bed putting it between the two.

"What's going on Leo. Why am I here and where the fuck am I?" Her tone was hostile and she didn't see any reason to play polite considering she was in for all foreseeable purposes an interrogation chamber. She found herself backing up to the far wall, putting space between her and the man she trusted to keep her safe. The man she watched as she went dark before waking up here.

Leo Storm - Informer

"I'm afraid I can't tell you where you are." he told her.

"As for why you're here: It has recently been discovered that you are the daughter of Gabriel Falcon, leader of the FIST organization. It is believed that you may have information that can help stop him." he answered.

Leo glanced over at the camera. He could understand her feeling of betrayal. After all, she had trusted him to have her back and protect her. He would do what he could, but even he would have trouble stopping all of the SIS by himself if they wanted her dead, considering she was in their custody.

"All I want to do is ask a few questions. Please have a seat." he repeated.

When he first mentioned to her they had information pertaining to her relation with Gabriel Falcon she felt her heart jump into her throat. Her second thought was who knew that information and provided it to Leo's employers whoever they were. When he mentioned his organizations intent to stop Falcon she knew for certain Leo wasn't one of the good guys.

"Stop him? I won't help you and whatever terrorist organization you work for Leo... if that is even your name." Her arms crossed and she leaned back against the wall. She was careful not to confirm her relation to her father.

"You can ask your questions but don't expect me to answer them and I'm not interested in sitting down. You realize you can't keep me here forever. FIST will be able to track me." She was banking on her clothing being within the same building, the tracking device would surely still be active unless they found it.

Leo Storm - Informer

Terrorist organization? Interesting. How long had Gabriel been brainwashing her?

"I'm not sure what Falcon has done to you, but I can assure you I am no terrorist."

Leo remained standing, as he noticed she made no move to sit. He kept his face expressionless, his eyes indescipherable. He would have to question her, but he knew he wouldn't get anything from her with just questions. He opened his file and skimmed through it.

He was to extract whatever information possible from Ev-...No.

He was to extract whatever information possible from Annabelle by any means necessary and convert her to SIS as a secondary objective.

"Alright, what is your direct role with the inner operations of the FIST organization?"

"Well you were with me so you would know. They need something hacked I hack it they need info from a mainframe they send me in. Falcon saw what I could do to help combat terrorism and recruited me for my skill set. The same reason he recruited you. Although it appears they weren't as thorough as they should have been in your background check." She eyed the file in his hand wondering how much of it was about her.

"It doesn't add up. You saved my life in Bangkok. I trusted you. Now this. I don't know what you expect to get out of me. What's in this for you Leo?" She started to pace in the room, her eyes going from the door to Leo to the camera and back to Leo. They knew she was Falcon's daughter which meant they likely assumed she knew sensitive information beyond what Leo would have attained in his time there. She also knew they weren't going to let her go after this interrogation. It was too risky and besides if they killed her they likely could re-insert Leo in fist.

If he wasn't a terrorist then who was he working for? She had just as many questions as him but would likely not be privy to having her questions answered. She couldn't help but wonder if there was someone with a bullet on the other side of that door waiting for her. Or one of those professionals with the twisted array of extraction devices. As brave a face as she wanted to put on she was afraid, fighting to keep herself from breaking down.

Leo Storm - Informer

"What's in it for me? I'm helping to shut down organizations like FIST." he raised an eyebrow.

He glanced over at her and then back down at the file.

"What were Gabriel Falcon's plans for the data that was acquired on yesterday's mission?" he asked.

He looked up at her and held her gaze. If she didn't cooperate soon...

He had his orders.

"I don't know, give it to Peter Pan and let him fly away with it to never never land." Her retort was drenched in sarcasm. He was at the briefing, her father had spoken very little of his intentions and the briefing they had merely mentioned the need to keep it from the Koreans.

"I want be party to you destroying FIST so you might as well shoot me now Leo because I won't help you." If FIST was shut down the anarchists and criminals of the world would have free reign and nobody would be able to stop them.

Leo Storm - Informer

Leo sighed, another rare show. He glanced over at her, then at the camera, and shook his head.

"I tried, Evelyn." he said, referring to her with the name he used to use, in a voice tinged with slight sadness.

He turned, opened the door, and left. Another man entered, this one with a cruel smile on his face. He pulled a cart in with him covered with a tarp. Leo entered the security room to watch through the camera's eyes.

The man closed the door and turned to his cart. He pulled off the tarp and it revealed various torture devices sitting on the flat surface. The man, now known as the torturer, picked up a few lengths and rope and turned to Evelyn. He cornered her and then forcibly tied her to the chair at the table, binding her arms and legs.

First off, he picked up a ring with several wires attached to it. The ring was wide enough to fit over a person's head, which is where he placed it on Evelyn. He placed a box on the table in front of her and connected the wires to it. He turned up the dial slightly and sent the electric surge to the ring, which delivered it to Evelyn.

"Now then. What all do you know about Gabriel Falcon's plans?" asked the man in a deep voice. He smiled in a way that showed he liked his job very much, and was very good at it.

As alone as she felt trapped in the room with Leo it was a much colder feeling once he left and was replaced by who she could only assume was her worst nightmare. Despite her best efforts he managed to restrain her and tie her to a chair and placed a ring on her head. She could tell by the wires what it was for but even that knowledge couldn't prepare her for the pain of the shock she received. She saw how little he had turned the dial up on that shock, knowing it could be lethal if the dial was fully cranked. She wasn't going to give in so easily, though from his grim smile it was clear that's what he hoped for.

"Just kill me, I won't talk for you. I won't let you win." She followed up her verbal stand by spitting at the man knowing it would be met with another shock. Her stomach turned at the sight of all the other devices he had at his disposal, some were quite complicated others overly simple. She was a computer geek and resistance to torture was not something she was heavily trained in. It was only in the knowledge that her secrets kept would ensure the safety of millions, even billions of people.

The man grinned and turned up the dial. He sent another shock, and then turned to his table of tools.

"Are you going to answer the question?"

He picked up several tools in turn, and set them down. Oh, he did so enjoy his job. But it was unfortunate that he was to cause no permanent damage to the victim, per Leo's orders. That instantly ruled out the majority of his devices. In fact, the Electroshock was one of the few he could actually use. It was dissapointing.

Leo

Leo watched via the camera screen inside the security room. He kept his face clear, for what it was worth. He didn't particularly enjoy seeing her get tortured, but it was required, and so he dealt with it.

"How long do you think she'll last?" the guard beside him said.

Leo pointedly ignored him. Who was to know?

She felt her body tense up as the shock surged through her, every muscle and tendon felt like it was going to implode. Once the shocks stopped she felt tears streaming from her eyes, her teeth bit into her lower lip to stop from screaming.

To the man she only shook her head, her eyes averting to anywhere in the room but his face. She didn't want to see the look of joy he adorned. In her mind she was trying to convince herself that she could take whatever he threw at her but how long she could keep her mental resolve was a question she couldn't answer.

She watched his hands fiddle with a few of his toys even as futile an effort as it was she tested the strength of her bonds just praying for one to get loose enough to slip free.

The man grinned again, but was slightly deflated. He upped the voltage more than he had the previous two times and shocked her. Before the shock could completely wear off, he pulled her from the chair, set the ring on the table, and pulled her over to the side of the room near a basin filled with water. He drove a fist into her gut, forcing the air out of her lungs, and pushed her head under the water. He held her under for several seconds before pulling her back out. Time for a different question.

"What did Gabriel Falcon intend on doing with the data acquired on your last mission?" he asked gruffly. If she didn't answer he was just going to dunk her under again.

The last shock was more painful than the previous two but she was given no break. She was taken from the chair, at first relieved to be rid of the ring on her head. The reprieve was short lived however as he caught her in the stomach with a hard punch catching her in such a way that all breath was taken from her. Before she could draw in more air to replace it she had her head driven into a water-filled basin. She felt water invade her lungs and the excruciating pain caused by the drowning and suffocation. Her head was pulled out of the basin and she drew in air, coughing as it mixed with the water in her lungs.

"What did Gabriel Falcon intend on doing with the data acquired on your last mission?"

She choked on the air she so desperately needed, her stomach still feeling a fist-sized pain. She wanted to beg him to stop to give her time but she couldn't answer his question even if she wanted to. The fact is she didn't really know.

"I.. I don't kn.. know..." She managed to choke out. Gasping to get air while she was able.
