The "DO-LITTLE"raid

let's see if i have this straight....................assad used chemical weapons to kill civilians, so in retaliation trump used bombs to kill civilians. (?)

From what I read, since he announced that a retaliation would be coming the sites had time to evacuate. I assume they took some of their chemicals with them.

Tromp's strategic approach seems to be (after consulting his barber) to tell his adversaries what he might do to them, and then say he won't do it, and then say he'll do it anyway, and then he does it but they already knew and handled it.

Is this how he managed to bankrupt so many of his firms? As we say in my country: Smooth move, ex-lax!

No, you've got it all wrong. We had to bomb Syrians in order to show Syria that they shouldn't bomb Syrians. We attacked their stockpile and risked releasing chemical weapons in order to show the Syrians that we will not tolerate the release of chemical weapons.

Alternatively, it could be that three national leaders are behind in the polls and a little bit of war never does your ratings any harm.

WOOF!

(That's a sly Wag The Dog reference.)

Bomb. Repeat. Bomb
Pentagon Sucks the Air Out of Trump’s ‘Mission Accomplished’

"While the president crowed about attacking Assad, the military defined what it achieved minimally – leaving unsettled what the U.S. has actually accomplished."
But the objective of the mission wasn’t to hit three Syrian chemical sites in and of themselves. It was, like last year’s strike on the Shayrat airfield, to deter Assad from future chemical attacks. And that depends on calculations that last night’s strike won’t resolve. Last year, for instance, Assad held off chemical attacks for a whole three months – resuming them, conspicuously, after Trump and his then-secretary of state signaled that they would work with Russia on a political resolution to the Syrian civil war and back away from a demand Assad relinquish power.

“We did the same strike last year,” said Rep. Eric Swalwell, a California Democrat on the intelligence committee. “He still used chemical weapons on his own people. Why would this be different?”
Tromp needs to host Assad at a Mar-a-Lago golf tournament. That should deter the bugger.

But now the western powers have proven that they will attack Assad and escalate militarily with Russia for at least one reason without evidence. Any faction that sees a much larger Syrian conflict as a benefit (any terror groups wishing to fill the power vacuum) can orchestrate a chemical attack anywhere in the country, not even try to make it look like the government did it, and Fr UK and US will do a double tap on Assad.

That's a scary thought man.

Datura aka Jimson Weed makes very vivid hallucinations but is really bad for you, especially visually. Put down that trumpet flower. Slowly. Yes, the stink of rotten peanut butter is on your fingers. That's what happens.
