OOC: Okay, for the moment I would prefer that this be just Alyrahh and I RPing, but I am sure that during the course of the story one or the other of us will need a character or two to support the story. If you like and want to join, just look for an opening when we make one. ;) Thanks all.

IC:
Eliuric:
Wrapped in a brown mail quality paper that was 12x12x12 inches was my home... My prison. I had been sold to a rich man who in return sought the affections of a woman. And that is where the story starts. The dilivery man that carried me, my home and all. For a good five minutes the man nocked at her door but she was out. So he left me on her porch and went on his way. So there I sat. A piece of property yet unclaimed. Oh don't get me wrong, I was used to it, I am a Djinn after all. All this power and it can only be invocked by another... That is what bothers me the most. I have learned to accept the subservience of my reality but I still bristled at the rules from time to time... Ah well, nothing I can do but wait and hope this one would release me...

Dianna

It had been a long day, a long week for that matter. I was looking forward to a peaceful weekend at home. Just as I approached my house, I saw the package. I wasn't expecting anything and decided it was probably nothing more than junk. Never the less, I carried the package inside, sat it on the sofa and it was forgotten as I headed for the shower.

After I'd washed the day's frustrations away and had my usual friday night dinner; delivered pizza, I decided to snuggle up on the sofa with a book. That's when I spotted the package again, and curiosity got the better of me.

It was a fairly heavy box, and a bit cumbersome. But, once I'd peeled the brown paper away and unfolded the flaps my breath caught in my chest. It was simply beautiful! A vase of some sort, or perhaps it was a carafe...yes that must be it, a carafe. It was gold and studded with jewels, there were places that seemed almost translucent. It was mesmerizing. Who could have sent something so obviously expensive? I caressed it as if it were a newborn, turned it gently in my hands, inspecting every inch of my new treasure.

Eliuric:

I watched her inspect my home like a prize. I could not blame her, it was amasingly well crafted for the age that it came from. But to be examined so... Even through all the years of my captivity in this prison I had never felt so naked, so powerless... Yet there was the paradox. I WAS powerful, beyond even my imagining... The only limit was the mind of the one who unleased me... "Unleash me and I will give you your dreams." I sent to her, planting the thought deep into her subconcious mind, hoping that it would take, and soon...

I sat the awesome bottle on the mantle, in hopes of showing it off to anyone who entered my home. With one last appraising look, I clicked off the lights and retired.

My sleep was fitful, filled with odd images and strange voices. I woke several times during the night with the mysterious package foremost in my thoughts. Finally, a good three hours before I'd normally have started my day, I climbed out of the bed and went directly to the mantle.

If it were possible, the bottle was even more beautiful in the dimly lit wee hours. It sparkled, and shone brilliantly. The entire room seemed to take on a new and inspired look.

I picked my treasure up delicately, and once again turned it to inspect each inch for some kind of clue as to where it had come from. I had the strangest feeling, the feeling that I was supposed to DO something with it. My hand slid up the rough textured neck of the bottle, gripping the stopper between my thumb and forefinger and uncorked the carafe.

Elliuric:

Standing beside this woman the moment she ran her fingers along my home and pulled the cork free I smiled. "Hello Dianna. You look positivly radiant." I said in a cool tone. After all its best to flatter ones master as much as possible. Thats something I have learned over the centuries... I put an arm around her shoulder and looked at my prison in her hands. "Yeah, I know... You were expecting a tail of smoke and a hissing right? I gave that up decades ago babe. No more, Doo do do-do do-do-do doo do, for me..." the tune was obvious to Dianna. ;)

Dianna

I just stood there, eyes like saucers and mouth agape. If I hadn't been frozen in place I might have pinched myself to see if it was all a dream. I had a hundred questions swarming my brain.

"Where... how?" was all I could manage. He had this mildly amused look on his face, but no answer for my stammered question.

I had to re-think my approach. This was, afterall, a comedic Djinni. I knew I'd have to be on my toes. Perhaps I could start by forming an actual question instead of a couple of spat out words. I took a deep breath and asked, "Where did you come from?"

Eliuric:

"From that package over there..." I said cooly, pointing to the ripped open remains of the plain cardboard box she had pulled my home from just a day past. Dianna gave me a scowl. I knew what she ment but just breathing air again after so long always put me in a bit of a playful mood.

Dianna

That cheeky man! I thought. This was to be a losing battle of the wits, I could see. I was exasperated but at the same time couldn't help but find him humorous.

"Okay, let me try again, who has sent you to me?"

Eliuric:

"Some guy named Leelund..." Eliuric said, leaning in and cupping his hand to the side of his lips as he said. "He's rich." As though it was some sort of secret that only she could know. He stood back again and smiled at her. He wasn't usually so forthcoming but for some reason, not even he could place a finger on he decided to help Dianna out. He walked over to the package and grabbed the card that Leelund had sent with along in the box. He returned to Dianna and handed her the envelope.

Dianna

I couldn't believe that in my exhaustion I'd missed the card! I felt like such a goof.

I took the card from his hand timidly, almost as if I'd thought it would bite me, and for a moment just stared at him. I finally realized the answer to my question was right in my own hands. I ripped the envelope open anxiously and my heart sank. There was no message, nothing but a phone number.

I rushed to the telephone and typed in the number, I had to know who this mystery man was, how he knew me, and what he wanted from me.

My breath caught in my chest as I heard the deep, masculine voice answer.

Leelund

OOC: here I am you two, thanks for the invite.

IC:
Leelund was walking aimlessly through his large maor. When would he know, when would he be contacted.
Leelund is not the kind of man who is used to wait.

That damn Djinn.

Leelund sat down in front of the big fireplace, Patience was definately not one of his strong sides.

He almost jumped out of his chair, by pure shock, whne the phone rang.

Leelund rushed to it and lifted the recieveer.

"Hello, Leelund residence*

He said.

Dianna

When Dianna heard his voice, she froze. She was unsure of what to say, how do you ask someone if they've sent you a Djinn? Should she just blurt it out? What if he thinks she's insane?

Finally she realized she had to say something, or he would end the call and she'd know nothing.

"Hello, Mr. Leelund?" she squeaked out.

"Yes?" he replied.

"Umm, well, my name is Dianna and I received a package from you yesterday," she paused waiting for some sign that he knew what she was talking about but was met with silence. "I was wondering, was there some kind of mistake? Might this package have been meant for someone else?"

As she anxiously awaited Mr. Leelunds response, she glanced at the Djinn, who had a slightly amused look on his face. Dianna wondered what her newly found comedian was up to.

Eliuric:

With a greatly bemused expression Eliuric watched as Dianna spoke on the phone. He stood only five feet from her and his eyes would not leave her. She noticed that he didn't blink. She had been watching him for the last five minutes. No blinking... No breathing, save for to talk maybe... It was odd, a little frightening even. But he seemed to mean no harm. The thing that bothered her most though was his staring.
...Creepy.

Leelund

"Ms. Dianna..."

Leelund tried to keep his voice calm and in control. Didn't know if he actually succeed.
This was the call he had been awaiting.

"yes Ms. Dianna, I am the one who has send you the package".

Leelund switched ear and intensly starred at the crystal by his side.

"...and no there has been no mistake. The package is intended to be to you.."

Leelund took the crystal by his side, and held it up in front of his eyes. The clear image of a girl talking on the phone, was displayed on the surface. The light from the fireplace illuminated the edges of it giving the image a golden glow.

"No ms. Dianna, there have been no mistake..."

Leelund watches Dianna in the crystal while awaiting her respons

Dianna

"Well, Mr. Leelund, I'm afraid I'm a little confused," she couldn't stop staring at the Djinn, what a peculiar thing he was. He was giving her the creeps a little. "why did you send me such a beautiful, and odd gift?"

She paused waiting for his answer, still watching the Djinn. Odd was the right word, without a doubt. He seemed almost lifeless, and yet he was walking and talking to her just moments before.

Leelund

"......."

His voice caught in his throat, while looking at the woman in the crystal.
Leelund had no idea how to proceed with this. I mean how do you really tell anyone that their house has a significant importance in the big scheme of less explainable things..like the Djinn.
How do one really tell anyone, that the reason the package was send, was on the basis of a terrible sense of doom.
How do you tell, that the sender of the package was send by one with special connection to the supernatural.

" I will tell you all you want to know Ms. Dianna. But first, before I do. Please answer this question for me".

Leelund can see the girl shift the reciever to the other ear and look directly at him, throught the crystal. Which must mean she's looking at the Djinn.

"Ms. Dianna, this may sound as a strange question, but please bear with me, and I shall tell you all. Now please answer this. Have you noticed anything uhm....unusual. Anything unexplainable in or around your house Ms. Dianna??"

Leelund once again turns the crystal aronud in his hands, watching. Awaiting Dianna's respons.

Eliuric:

Something caused Eliuric to look about the house, thus taking the focal point of Leelunds veiwing away from Dianna. There was an odd feel to the house, that was for sure. But then, things beyond the sences of mortals were far more preceivable to Eliuric, as well as Leelund. In a darkened corner of the room there was a strange shifting. As though the shadows themselves churned. Churned like a living thing. The shadows seemed to take on a thick, black, oily appearance to Eliuric and Leelunds eyes.

Calmly Eliuric returned his gaze back to Dianna as she began to speak, having paused for a moment at the oddity of Leelund's question.

Dianna

"Ms. Dianna, this may sound as a strange question, but please bear with me, and I shall tell you all. Now please answer this. Have you noticed anything uhm....unusual. Anything unexplainable in or around your house Ms. Dianna??" Mr. Leelund asked.

She chuckled at the absurdness of his question. "Do you mean something other than this... this thing you sent me?" Dianna's voice raised a notch "Mr. Leelund, this is all too much. You've frightened me, and I would appreciate it if you'd take your gift back."

She watched as the Djinn scanned the room as if he were looking for something in particular. She would have to put a stop to this before it got out of hand. She'd always been a level-headed person, and this felt as if someone was playing a terrible joke on her.

Leelund

"Ms. Dianna, please I do not wish to alarm you. But there are things at work here that cannot be ignored anymore. Which is also the reason I've send you this package."

Leelund was painfully aware of the doubt in Dianna's mind. Let alone her contempt for him. But that didn't matter right now.
The crystal, showed with all certainty, that this woman had her doubts, and he could vividly imagine what it would feel like to have something like this sprung at you, from out of nowhere.

He had hoped that he wouldn't have to do what now had to. But it was crucial that she understood the seriousness of the situation.

Especially after the form, the Djinn had seen in the very same room.

"Ms. Dianna, you give me little choice but to show you what I mean, please do not be alarmed. This may feel a little strange, but it's crusial for your safety that you know."

With those words Leelund uses his special connection with the Djiin, to notify him what to do.

[Eliuric....Please let her see, through you, what is amiss]

Eliuric:

With a frown Eliuric took Dianna by the wrist. He sat her down in a chair by the phone. "Master Leelund, what you ask is that I lift the veil from her... As I did with you... Is this fair? Fair to her?" Though it was a show of disobedience Eliuric still asked, through the supernatural link he and Leelund shared. What it ment was that from the moment she was aware as Leelund was aware she could never go back to the way she had been before.

Leelund

Answering Eliuric through the link they share.

"No it,s not fair to her. But I really don't see we have any choice. Show her!!"

Dianna

"Ms. Dianna, you give me little choice but to show you what I mean, please do not be alarmed. This may feel a little strange, but it's crucial for your safety that you know." Mr. Leelunds voice was stern.

I didn't know what to say, what to feel, or how to react, so when the Djinn lead me to the chair and seated me, I simply didn't resist. Everything was surreal and I was beginning to feel numb. Part of me wanted to slam the phone down and run for all I was worth, but the other part of me was intrigued.

Eliuric:

Without another word Eliuric touched his finger tips to Dianna's temples. A flash of light assaulted her eyes as though she had just looked directly into the sun. Her vision seemed to pulse with the flash now every time her heart beat. But it was fading quickly and things in the room were taking on a darker and darker shade. Everything in the room looked as though it had been coated with a glaze of black oil. But it wasn't oil. Oil doesn't move and churn like a living thing. Eliuric stood before her with a slight frown, his eyes soft and concerned.

Dianna

When the Djinn touched my temples the flash of light was brilliant, and caused a sharp pain behind my eyes. The phone slipped from my hand and landed beside me on the floor, with a thump.

As my vision began to clear I caught movement in the corner of the room. I squinted slightly trying to force my eyes to focus.

"What is that?" My voice was filled with panic, as I caught sight the fluid-like movement again. It seemed to spread and contract without pattern and change shape without warning.

Then suddenly there was movement to the left of me, then the right, I was surrounded by the shadowy motion. It was everywhere, nothing was untouched by it's grossness. I pulled my feet into the chair with me and wrapped my arms around my knees, putting myself almost in a fetal position. My head snapped back and forth in all directions, following its pulsation.

I'd forgotten I wasn't alone, so when the Djinn touched my arm, I yelped and jerked away from him in fear.

Eliuric:

"Leelund, you need to talk to her, she is not taking the lifting all that well..." Eliuric sent to his master.
"Dianna... It will be okay, what you see cannot harm you while I am here. Please listen to Leelund, he can help you." Eliuric reached out his hand once more and placed in on her shoulder more to keep her from fleeing than to calm her.
