Some or all of you have know that Kiwiwolf has not been posting as much as usual. Probably have missed his posts as much as I have.
He has been a VERY busy little wolf. First he got a new job that is keeping him out of trouble. Good job Wolf!!
Second, he has been VERY VERY ill. A few months ago he came down with Pneumonia. Being a typical butch Kiwi, he didn't want to go to hospital and wanted to be treated as an outpatient. Okay, the doctors complied and he visited them every day to receive his daily dose of high powered anti-biotics. SO, Kiwiwolf slowly but surely mended his health.
Then his work hours increase exponentially!!! I don't hear from his as often as I'd like, but the money is good and his cute little kiddos benefit from it. No big problem. Then his health start to get bad again. He thinks he's coming down with pneumonia again. I begin to worry more. If he doesn't take it easy, he won't get better. He'll get worse. He continues to work and eventually tells me that he is even sicker than what he told me!!
He has been coughing up blood (among other things) and has a CAT scan and MRI scheduled. Now this makes me go Hmmmmmmmm......that's not normal. I do a little research in some medical books I have and ask him a few question about what has been going on health wise.
What I come up with is NOT good. I don't say anything, I'm not a medical doctor, I'm a Psychologist. I ask what doctors he's seeing. He tells me he has an appointment with an ONCOLOGIST!!! (for those that don't know that word, that's a doctor that specializes in CANCER) Now, I'm WORRIED. And Kiwiwolf is worried as well. All you can do though is WAIT. Grrrrrr.
This isn't something I do well when it's about someone I care for, but I do it.
Kiwiwolf gets ahold of me a day later to say that the doctor has called to tell him IT'S NOT CANCER!!! WOOOHOOOO! BIG sigh of relief. But there is still something wrong and there is something that is showing up in the xrays. I wonder what it could be........
Guess what it was folks??? Guess what had this big, strong, butch kiwi so sick and both of us so worried??
A peanut.
A raw peanut.
That's all. Somehow he managed to aspirate a peanut into his lung and there it stayed. The lung tried to reject it and now it's causing him all sorts of trouble.
The GREAT news is that Kiwiwolf is going to be around for a long, long, long, long time!!

The bad news is that he will most probably have to have the peanut removed surgically.
Now, do you think we can teach an old Wolf new trick and teach him to CHEW his food?????
Told you I was going to post this Love!
