"Welcome." The voice, soft and sweet as honey greets any who enter the bar. "Please enjoy your stay. Ask at the bar for anything you like, food or drink. I hope you return and recommend us to your friends." A young woman sits at a table, a small smile on her lilac tinted lips. Her storm gray eyes watching all who enter the bar.
OOC: Feel free to post what you want the bar to look like. Its a magic bar so don't be afraid of contradicting anyone.

OOC: What if I say that it isn't a magical bar? ^_^
OOC: *laughs* I'd tell you come on in anyway. You're still welcome. :D

OOC: Good idea for a thread!!

Name: Peter Hales
Height: 5'10
Eyes: Blue-Green
Hair: Short black hair

IC: Peter pushed open the doors, and stepped into the bar. He had just moved to the area recently, and was still exploring the places to go. He signaled to the barkeeper.

"Absolute Martini, with an extra olive." he said, taking a seat at the bar, while waiting for the drink. It was early in the night, so the bar was fairly empty still. The only other patron was a woman sitting at a table a few feet away.

"Evening miss." he said, taking the drink from the bartender and paying the bill. "Mind if a join you?"

Aithne tossed her hair and gave the stranger a welcoming smile. "Of course not. Please have a seat." It was the same honey sweet voice that had greeted him upon his entrance. "How is your martini?"

He took a sip of his drink, and let out a sigh of contentment.

"Its a mighty fine drink, if i do say so myself." he replied, as he pulled up a chair. "This bartender sure knows his way around a martini." he continued, with a smile.

"Oh, I'm sorry, where are my manners." as he held out his hand. "My name is Peter. and you are?"

"Aithne. My name is Aithne and Martin had better know how to make good drinks for as much as he cost!' She smiled demurely. She took his hand and shook it with just the right amount of pressure. "Its a pleasure to meet you Peter." His hand would feel a slight tingling sensation as if his hand had been close to a warm fire. Aithne's storm gray eyes danced in merriment.

"Aithne, thats a lovely name," he said, as he shook her hand. He liked the way her hand felt. He didn't know what it was about it, but it excited him. It was simmilar to the feeling of comfort you get when one warms their hands over a fireplace.

The storm outside thundered loudly, with flashes f lighning brightening the windows. "Wow its really comming down out there, isn't it?" he remarked, taking another sip of his martini. "I hope it lets down soon though. My apartment is a good 10 blocks away from here." He continued to enjoy his drink, while looking at the bar. "this a truly beautiful place. I'm glad I discovered it." he took another sip. "you see, I moved here about a week ago. Still getting adjusted to the area."

"Hmm...I didn't even notice it." Aithne murmured to her guest as Martin brought her a hot Toddy. "Welcome to the neighborhood. If you need to there are rooms upstairs for you to stay until the storm is over."

"why thank you. I just might have to take that offer if things get too bad." he smiled as the bartender brought her the drink. "A good choice in a drink, if I do say so myself."

He raised his glass in the air towards her, while his other hand quietly slipped over her free hand. "Cheers, to new aquaintances."

"To new acquaintances." She echoed and clinked his glass with her mug. She took a small sip and sighed happily.

OOC: Not a problem. Glad you like it.

OOC: hmmm....okay, two characters

Raven Ar-Ketin (Raven of Angelfire)
Height: 6'3"
Eyes: Blazing green (dragon eyes)
Hair: ravenblack, long like SSJ3

Brenda The Sword (unavailable, so no solicitations on her, capische?)
Height: 5'4"
Eyes: sapphire blue
Hair: platinum blonde

IC: As the storm raged outside, two figures made their way towards the bar. Both were cloaked and hooded, both wore armor, and both carried swords. The similarities ended there. One was tall, with a deep tan, dark hair, and piercing eyes that seemed to glow in the night. He was dressed under the cloak in an odd sort of armor made from woven fibers of metal and special fabrics, colored black, with a long leather coat over that. Under the coat was an assortment of firearms and other weapons. In his hand, he carried a long, sheathed sword with an odd, flaming angelwing motif on the hilt. The other was shorter, with almost glowing hair, bright blue eyes, dressed in white Ranger's armor, and carried a sword with one word on the sheath. Brenda, which translates as The Sword.

As they came up to the tavern, the man pushed open the door, stepping in slowly, and holding it for her. He let the water drip off of him, before pulling the hood of the cloak back. He looked around the tavern, then turned to his companion. "We've arrived, Bren. Now aren't you glad you came with me? It beat spending another night playing card games with that wimp you call your fiance." He grinned, teasing her, and she playfully smacked his shoulder.

"Oh hush, Raven. He's a good guy. So he's not a living god like you or your families, so what. Sometimes a girl needs a more down to earth guy when she's like I am."

"Good evening folks. Is there anything we can get you tonight?" Aithne waved a hand and the water evaporated both her guests. "That should warm you two up. If anything there's a fire going." Indeed there was though there wasn't one a moment ago.

Raven turned to the hostess, and bowed slightly. Then his irreverance kicked in. "I could have done that. I simply chose not to. I do not feel cold as other races do." He smiled, then started for a table. Brenda just rolled her eyes, and shook her head. "I'm sorry. He's always been like that, even since we were kids."

"That's fine. You get used to that sort of thing when you're in the business for so long."

Brenda smiled, and nodded. "He's just not exactly a people person. All that power and knowledge tends to go to his head." She shook his head, then walked over to the table Raven was sitting down at. Raven removed his cloak, revealling his long hair, which he flipped over the back of the chair. His coat he didn't remove. He didn't see a need to. "Well then, what would the hostess recommend?"

"A couple of hot toddies to warm you both up perhaps?" She suggested as she sipped her own beverage.

Raven laughed, then shook his head. "I meant for food. I only drink tea or Tea." He expected everyone to know the difference, but few ever did. Brenda just shook her head at his joke. Sometimes she wondered if he was born in the right country. "I swear, you and your sake. I dunno how you can drink that stuff, it makes me sick to my stomach." He laughed again, looking at her. "That's because it's a lot more pure than that liquid urine you like." He was, of course, referring to beer.

Aithne chuckled and signalled Martin. He brought out a cold beer and a warm bottle of sake, plus the dish to drink it. "We have any kind of food you could think of."

Raven bowed his head, accepting the bottle, and poured some of it into the dish. Then he turned his attention to thinking of what kind of food to order. "Hmm...sweet and sour chicken would probably go good with this. Maybe over some rice." Brenda grinned, and cracked open the beer. "I'll just have a steak."

The woman nodded and rose from her seat to inform the cook of the food orders. Then she returned and reclaimed her seat.

Raven smiled, then sipped at the sake, waiting for the food to be served. In the meantime, he studied those in the bar.

Brenda, on the other hand, chugged her beer in a very unladylike fashion.

Aithne said nothing as a waiter brought out their order.
