The dental plan does not cover loss from declared or undeclared war

I've been reading the employee health plan. Does anyone look at these things?

Yes, I just got my coverage September first.

It turns out I have to pay into my dental plan for a year before they cover anything major. Not sure about war damage though.

On the one hand I could really use the coverage. On the other hand, I'm not sure how long it will take me to pay the deductible at my rate of pay, and whether I'll be with the company that long.

Yeah, sometimes I read 'em.

Usually insurance is meant to cover random events rather than deliberate acts or certanties.. If somebody flies a plane into your teeth because you're under a US flag - they're responsible, not the insurance company.

Deliberate damage is insured case by case, & is usually unaffordable.

Yeah there's always pros and cons.

Mine is about $150 a month for me and the kids for medical, dental and vison. It's really there as insurance against something major happening.

At my old job I had kick ass benefits, no contributions and many things were covered free. Can you go HMO? that's usually the best for young people with no medical problems because it's cheap.

Unfortunately I'm not a young person with no medical problems. I am twenty, but I have arthritis, high blood pressure, and and various other weird undiagnosed crap.
