[shrug] Our rulers in Washington do more of value for us than our rulers on Wall Street, and we get to vote for them. (And both sets actually work pretty hard.)

Lets do this.

When we elect someone to Congress start them out with the identical pay, benefits, and accommodations Buck Privates get in the army. That is, bout 1200 dollars, and share a room with another freshman representative. Add one stripe for every re-election.

At the end of 20 years they qualify for a 50% pension when they turn 62 years old.
