Without the benefit of statistics, which even if present would be inaccurate and full of fixed numbers, I would assume the sheer volume of attrocities committed against citizens would be much higher in Iraq that in the United States against the black community.

I'm not saying there aren't injustices all around, but I have yet to see the U.S. Government go in and launch a chemical warefare strike against a civilian population in this country, something that Hussein can't say.

Aside from the fact that he came to power through corruption, initmidation, murdering and other hobbies...he is a boyscout.

Not really Gunner . . . in Oz there were unprovoked slaughters of indigenous people in the 1920s on the East Coast and well into the 1930s in the Kimberleys (north Western Australia) and Northern Territory . . . but that was alright . . . the English settlers had followed a policy for genocide, including Aborigine hunts, shoot on sight, diseased blankets, poisoned flour and poisoned wtaerholes since 1788 . . . it was just another unsuccessful attempt to get rid of "a native problem", but without the efficiency achieved by Andrew Jackson in the U$ with the AmerIndians . . . but still the Aborigines survived . . . and it was only about 1975 that many government policies intent on genocide of the indigenous peoples were stopped by legislation.

And you forget the seminal role played by the U$ in establishing Saddam Hussein . . . which went as far as supplying anthrax and botulism innocula, plus the delivery systems for "testing" them, plus munitions and the ubiquitous "military advisers" that have featured so strongly in U$ foreign policy since WWII . . . and were provided until the 1990 Desertstorm campaign . . . WITH THE BLESSING OF THE U$ GOVERNMENT AND BY THE CIA . . . on the admission of the CIA after Desertstorm . . .
