Jason Evans was angry. He was angry at his underlings, he was angry at the situation he now found himself in and he was especially angry at that Baker guy for putting him here.
A month ago Mr Baker had walked into one of his many Gambling establishments with $5000 and sat down at a poker table. Two hours later he had turned it into $30,000 and he was invited to the high rollers table. Another hour and he was a further $20,000 up. Most people off the streets would have left and indeed he had been asked as the law required them to do but he waved off the suggestion. Of course they were in it to make money so a proper professional was sent to the table and within an hour Mr Baker was down to $15,000. Then had come the hand that had caused all the trouble. He had been dealt two queens and the flop had delivered him a third along with a 3 and 2. He had bet $3000 and everyone had called. The turn was another three and he had checked it while the professional had made another $3000 bet. He had called but everyone else had folded. The river had been a jack. He had gone all in and so had the professional easily covering him but before the cards were turned he asked the guy to count his chips. He had another $50,000 and he had said he had said he would write a cheque to cover that if he would bet it. of course the house took his license number and address and then let the bet stand. He had turned over his full house triumphantly expecting the win. His face fell when the other man had turned over a pair of 3 to reveal 4 of a kind. He had looked sick as he wrote out the cheque and left.
Four days later Jason found out about it all when it was brought to his attention when Mr Baker's cheque bounced. He sent people as debt collectors to his house who found out he had not been at home for over two weeks and the family was actually in a semi bad way. Jason wasn't worried about that though, he was worried about his $50,000. He let the lady of the house know he was to be contacted as soon as she heard from him. A week passed and there was no word and there was talk of him going soft, both for letting the bet take place and not collecting on it. He couldn't have that so he decided to take drastic action. Baker had a beautiful daughter who was 19 about to turn 20. He sent out a couple of his men to snatch her and leave a note in her mothers letterbox telling her if she wanted her back to get her father to pay the money he owed.
Now he had the daughter in a room in his mansion, a couple of his guys watching her mothers house to make sure she behaved and to see if Mr Baker turned up and rumblings to put down because several guys made a stupid decision. At the moment the girl was sedated but she would wake up any minute now. He sat behind a small one way glass panel looking into the room. It was set up like a mirror and the room itself like an ordinary bedroom. The girl was remarkably beautiful and if the father didn't show he was going to get his money's worth the old fashioned way. He sat back and waited for her to awaken from her slumber.
