The Death Of The "Iron Dome"

Israel announced the reopening of Ben Gurion airport yesterday with limited flights.
Iran announced the closing of Ben Gurion airport last night with an incredible number of those 1 ton 80-bomblet ballistic missiles.

The usual suspects will be along shortly to insist "Tel Aviv is not burning!" and also "Iran's military capability is diminishing daily!"

Yikes. Seems like Iran still has effective offensive capabilities.

Here’s a live feed of Tel Aviv. Judge for yourself.

Good easy to understand short video on how the "Iron Dome" completely failed to prevent Iranian missile strikes on Tel Aviv.

....and a "we told you so!" snark about the world's lack of sympathy for Israelis wailing that they have to pull their loved ones out of rubble.

Always valuable to get your information from people who broadcast in their vest.

Walter Kronkite shoulda tried it.

But, talented as he was, would Kronkite have been good enough to work for your source “News Jolt Pakistan” we all wonder.

Fucking dickhead.

I would have expected to see a news report if that happened last night. I see nothing. It is getting hard to find the truth with this war. I actually saw a completely AI generated news story also.

The truth-seekers are fucked.
I have seen news reports of structure damage and even a few deaths and injuries, but the videos of Tel Aviv in flames as cluster munitions rain down are pure propaganda.

Didn't Trump want one of these?

Only being Trump, he would call the American version the "Golden Dome."

That may be true but it is scarier to me that it is not obvious one way or the other.

In an age of tyrants with nuclear weapons it is discomforting that the truth can be manipulated.

Even in WWI, you would read very different accounts of the war in British and German newspapers.

The power of Israeli messaging. Every photo or stream originating in Israel must go through the Israeli censorship bureau....and furthermore, photos or streams are not permitted to announce that they have gone through the Israeli censorship board.

"All is well, dammit!"

🙄

Newsflash, Rob: No country wants the enemy to have easy access to strike success / failure information. Should Israel be providing Iran with that information???

🤔

If we could peek under the Ayatollah's Qaba we'd find his scrotum resting on Rob's chin.

Can you imagine how difficult that would be to do with every Israeli on face time with people outside of the country? I could call friends there now and see it is mostly fine (but night time, and the partying is much less than a normal friday in TLV because a lot of people are called up for military service)
