Will Eisner is dead at 87. Eisner virtually invented what we know today as Comic Books. With his pioneering Sunday insert section The Spirit, he created the basics of storytelling in sequential art. He was an innovator on the level of Charles Dickens, D.W. Griffith and Ernie Kovaks.
Raise a glass tonight to Will Eisner. A true giant.
