"Alright Ladies, now hold in position three.... 8..7..6..5.. keep holding Sarah...4..3..2..and relax..." Kali smiled as she watched her class of 15 girls drop from their held dance position...seeing the tired look in their eyes. The class was made up of 15-17 year old girls. Kali had graduated high school and been accepted to the New York Dance Academy from there. She had gone on two tours with the company before her father, her only living relative had had the accident on the job site. She had dropped her dream of the dance company and rushed back home. It had turned out to be her lucky day, the karate studio had failed and closed its doors and she had purchased the building for next to nothing. Now Kali not only owned the studio but she also taught at it as well. This was her favorite class, the older age group, and ballet. The girls were all extremely committed and knew what they wanted. She dismissed the class, telling them to stretch it out before they left for the day and she walked over to grab her water from the corner. She watched as all the girls either took out their car keys and left or left with their parents. However, one girl remained.... Megan. Megan was a very skilled dancer and held so much potential.

"Megan, are you alright? You need a ride or anything?" Megan shrugged, explaining that her car was dead and her older brother was supposed to pick her up but must have forgotten.....

Tommy had had a really, really bad day. Everything at work had gone wrong. It seemed that every tool in the shop was failing him, he was being rushed all day by the head mechanic, and by the end of it all, he hadn't been able to properly fix a single car he worked on.

And then he had to pick up his sister from dance practice?? Fuck. He got home, and hadn't even peeled off his dirty work clothes before lighting up a joint outside on the backyard patio.

Sometimes it seemed the weed was the only decent escape he had. He sat back, and finally was able to relax. The worries and stress and anger from the day melted away.

He watched the clouds roll by. Squirrels chased each other through the trees overhead. Horny little bastards. It was springtime. Everything was horny. Except him. He'd sworn off love years ago.

He dozed in and out of stonyness, until he came to with a start, hearing a car door shutting on the other side of the house, and his sister Megan's distinctive voice...

Kali had stuck around the studio for almost an hour waiting with Megan and when her brother still wasn't there, she gave her a ride. They got to her house and when she put the car in park she was in shock. This couldn't be.... Not this house, of all the houses... As Megan got out of the car Kali quickly rolled down her window, "Megan, how long have you lived here? Did you just recently move in here?" When Megan told her she was born and raised in that house Kali felt a little sick to her stomach. She nodded and faked a smile, wanting to make a quick escape before the houses owners... Or even worse, Megan's brother came outside...

Tommy got up and headed around to the front of the house, still quite buzzed from the weed he'd smoked. He pushed open the gate and nearly stumbled out into the driveway in front of the house.

"Megan, I am so sorry..." he started, but Megan turned on him.

"Dammit, Tommy, you're useless?" she said, shaking her head as she headed for the front door.

Fuck, Tommy thought.

It was only then he turned and realized who else was standing in the driveway, next to her car.

Kali.

Fuck fuck fuck! Tommy's mind screamed. A flood of emotions came over him in a heartbeat. He hadn't seen her in what, five years? She had clearly done pretty well for herself.

"What is this, some kind of joke?" he finally said, eyes still locked with Kali's.

Kali felt instantly like she was going to throw up. Of all the houses.... of all the brothers.... it had to be him. She shook herself from the daze of memories, she couldn't even bring herself to smile, but that may have had more to do with the pure look of hatred on his face as he asked if it was some sort of joke. "No, its not a joke. I had no idea Megan was your sister or that I would be pulling into this driveway when I gave her a ride home today.... I'm sorry."

Kali knew why he hated her, she had been pretty terrible back in the day... but she had grown up since those days... those days were behind her. She had managed to forget all about the person she was before... until right then, when she was staring at Tommy....
