His aunt's old Victorian mansion made the perfect setting for a costume party. Will had inherited the house from his Aunt Esther a few months before, along with all of her period furniture, but still hadn't moved out of his apartment. He had thought about selling the old house, because the taxes were going to kill him, but hadn't had the nerve yet. It still held good memories.
Will taught social sciences in the local high school. He got a lot of personal satisfaction from his job, but very little monetary benefit. Even if he scrimped and saved, he knew something would have to give.
Finally he decided to raise money for the taxes by throwing a massive costume party. He had advertised everywhere he could. For only $25 dollars entry fee, you could have an evening of free food, free beer and free music. He had also said that no one under age 21 would be allowed in, since alchohol would be served.
Will had taken at least a minor amount of thought with his costume. He was wearing hat with squirrel ears, goggles and a brown leather bomber jacket over an indigo leisure suit. There was a hole through the pants of his leisure suit from which emerged an enourmous, furry tail.
The house had a massive main hall that opened directly from the covered front porch. The room had a long, carved, oak staircase leading up to the second story. A long gallery rail surrounded the second story landing, where people could look down into the main hall. The floor of the main hall was polished marble and Will had arranged all the chairs he could rind around the edges of the room. A buffet table and beer keg was set up on one side and a DJ was all set up in one corner. The music was already pumping. The DJ had promised a mix of club dance music along with some old fifties favorites. He had set up a flashing strobe that made the dark main hall seem even more otherworldly than it already was. Actual candle stands with burning candles were set up around the room and provided the majority of the light. A massive crystal candleabra hung over the hall, but was set on dim.
The upstairs bedrooms had all been cleaned somewhat, so they were habitable. The kitchen had been put off limits by the small staff that were catering the party. He had cleared out the parlor that was right off of the main hall and brought in comfortable thrift store couches, bean bag chairs and lava lamps. He had also set up a card table. If anyone was bored, then could go in their to play truth or dare, just hang out, or play a game of cards. The DJ had promised that no one would be bored though.
A few friends had already arrived to help set up, but it was time to open the doors and get the party started. Will checked his costume, glanced over at the the long buffet table, and opened the doors.

Unlike some games I am in, I am not trying for anything artistic or literate here. This is just for some quick fun. BUT please try to do a decent job with your writing. Posts with one sentence aren't any fun for anyone. Posts are difficult to figure out do to tons of puncuation and spelling errors are not fun.
With any game like this, there is a potential for someone to become irritated with your attentions. Any in-game irritation is fine, but if someone PMs you to go away, please do. Be an adult or don't join. Pissing people off will just get you on their ignore list anyway.
