Anyone remember Robotech? Anyone interested in doing an alternate world with original characters?

Which Generation? - To be determined, depending on response. Either an original combination of 1, 2 & Sentinels, basically a coloncolonization/liberation effort by the REF. Or, a different group attempting to liberate Earth from the Invid like Gen 3

How big of a cast? Depends on the response.

Hehehe, maybe...

For those that don't know, the creators of Robotech bought three different animes and combined them with a brand new, english dubbed storyline. They renamed it Robotech and released it as a Saturday morning cartoon in America. It became one of the biggest early hit Japanimation shows in the USA.

Yes, it was called Japanimation. No, there's nothing offensive about that, it's just an abbreviation of japanese animation. The word 'anime' was not in the American lexicon at the time. Anime encompasses all cartoons of this style, including American anime, like Naruto. While an interesting word study, it is hardly germane to the topic at hand. If I happen to use Japanimation instead of Anime, well, that's just what we old timers called it back then, you young whipper snappers.

All that is to say Macross was the name of the first anime they dubbed. Macross became generation 1.
