Democrats are corrupt. The Republican Senate leader did his duty even though the charges against Trump were phony. Democrats try Republicans but shrink from trying one of their own because of their corruption. They threaten our constitutional order. The Senate will do what it's required to do.
Likely a dismissal of charges.
Your opinion is noted.Democrats are corrupt. The Republican Senate leader did his duty even though the charges against Trump were phony. Democrats try Republicans but shrink from trying one of their own because of their corruption. They threaten our constitutional order.
Schumer's process of dismissing the charges is underway as we speak.Your opinion is noted.
Senator Schumer has not indicated that he won't do what he is obligated to do.
Some House Republicans were calling on him to begin the trial before the articles were even received.
The rules of the Senate are defined by the Senate.Schumer's process of dismissing the charges is underway as we speak.
They cannot violate the text of the Constitution. We should keep our eyes on Manchin, Sinema, and Fetterman. There has never been an impeachment in our history in which the Senate didn't hold a trial. The rules of the Senate are defined by the Senate.
If the Senate votes to dismiss the charges, then they do.They cannot violate the text of the Constitution. We should keep our eyes on Manchin, Sinema, and Fetterman. There has never been an impeachment in our history in which the Senate didn't hold a trial.
You'll excuse any perfidy of the Democrat Party. If the Senate votes to dismiss the charges, then they do.
You'll bitch no matter what happens.
The impeachment itself was political theater. I don't care what the Senate does on its way to deciding against removal.Y
You'll excuse any perfidy of the Democrat Party.
The charges are real he did violate the law but Democrats don't give a shit about the law unless it's a chance to dispense of their political enemies. When it exposes them and their President as complicit in illegal acts the law doesn't exist. The Democrat Party is proving itself to be a criminal organization at war with the American people. The impeachment itself was political theater. I don't care what the Senate does on its way to deciding against removal.
He enforced the policy of the Executive branch....which is his job.The charges are real he did violate the law but Democrats don't give a shit about the law unless it's a chance to dispense of their political enemies.
Nothing the administration is doing is illegal. When it exposes them and their President as complicit in illegal acts the law doesn't exist. The Democrat Party is proving itself to be a criminal organization at war with the American people.
Article I Section 3 clause 6. In almost 250 years of American history there is no Senate precedent for not holding a trial.Show where the Senate "requires" a full trial for this nonsense. That's just a lie.
Article 4, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution:He enforced the policy of the Executive branch....which is his job.
Nothing the administration is doing is illegal.
They do not.Article 4, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution:
The Constitution’s “take care” clause specifies that the President “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.”
- This constitutional provision states: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.”
- Essentially, it ensures that each state is safeguarded against invasion by foreign nations, revolutionary forces, drug cartels, and uncontrolled (illegal) immigration1

- Eluding Examination or Inspection: An alien who avoids examination or inspection by immigration officers is also in violation.
- False or Misleading Representation: Attempting to enter or obtaining entry through willfully false or misleading representation or concealment of material facts is prohibited.
- Penalties:
- For the first offense, an alien can be fined under Title 18 or imprisoned for up to 6 months, or both.
- For subsequent offenses, the penalty can include fines under Title 18 or imprisonment for up to 2 years, or both12.
- 8 U.S.C. § 1324 - Bringing in and Harboring Certain Aliens:
- This statute addresses individuals who knowingly bring or attempt to bring an alien to the U.S. without proper authorization.
- Penalties:
The President, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Vice President who as the appointed border czar violate the above.
Do you mean the Democratic Party? Because there's no such thing as the "Democrat Party".Y
You'll excuse any perfidy of the Democrat Party.
Voting along party lines. This will wrap up by 7 PM EST. This vote will leave several Democrat senators on the hook come election time. More democrats voting party line rather than in the interest of their constituents. Sad.Will Schumer throw out the Constitution? Article I Section 3, "The Senate shall have the power to try all impeachments."
They can campaign on the bipartisan effort that Republicans trashed that addresses a multitude of asylum law issues which lead to the overwhelming issue of border crossings.Voting along party lines. This will wrap up by 7 PM EST. This vote will leave several Democrat senators on the hook come election time. More democrats voting party line rather than in the interest of their constituents. Sad.
No precedent for filing for impeachment without evidence either. Brave new world of performative theater.Article I Section 3 clause 6. In almost 250 years of American history there is no Senate precedent for not holding a trial.
