Some say I'm a wizard or a warlock. I don't see it that way. I prefer to be called a conjurer. What I do is more to alleviate my boring dorm life, help others in unique ways, and make a little money on the side. Going to college today isn't cheap! Plus, I wasn't going to be a slave to student debt for decades. My family was poor. I mean dirt poor. Many nights I had to go to bed hungry. As much as father tried to provide for us, he never went far in life. Mother wasn't any better. It was by some miracle that I was accepted into college. Before I left, father gave me this book. He said, "This book is magical. Take care of it." At first, I didn't believe him. He was always telling exaggerated stories.

He was right!

Found out that this book was magical. It could make whatever I wrote into it come to life! First time was just a joke to test it. Conjuring an exaggerated version of Batgirl of Arkham Knights, because that's what I was playing at the time. In came this busty, and horny, woman who wouldn't let me go until morning and I was fully drained. What a life!

When it was understood it was magical, the Book used Batgirl to lay out the strict rules I must follow to use it. The Book itself was benevolent. It didn't cost you anything to use. The Book can used to help people but not harm them. It can make a reality for pleasure but not alter ours. It can make fictional characters come to life but couldn’t bring back dead friends and family.

Following the rules I opened up a side business in school. I would edit people’s paperwork and homework, for a price. In truth I was using the Book’s guidance. That was another one of its rules; it would HELP with the work but not answer it for me. Such a power could change the world. That's why I couldn't let anyone know of its existance.

Aden City

Reign" Sybil" Masters had been a street kid orphaned at 15. She had tried living with families but none ever seemed to work out and staying on the streets seemed easier for her except when it was cold. She had snuck into vacation homes when she could when they weren't occupied. Stolen a key card or two to sleep in unoccupied hotel rooms and keep herself from becoming a girl of the night like many of the mafia men liked turning women into.

She had survived a few years doing this until she had snuck into the wrong vacation home one night and nearly gotten killed by her now Mentor Blood Splatter. He was impressed by way she could predict every move of his and not a hair out of place and she hadnt known how she did it she just chalked it down to fear a luck.

At 19 now, she had really matured. Her body filled in all the right places, giving her voluptuous curves and a body to kill and lthat literally did. Blood Splatter had taken her in his home and made her get a job after chewing her out about stealing, and breaking in and scaring her half to death with his deep steely voice, he had even threatened to kill her but he figured he'd taken sympathy and trained her instead.

She had learned to fight with weapons a few months in she had learned quickly to fight and kill becoming Blood Spatters sidekick and highly trained assassin. The seduction skills she had learned on her own and it helped her kill many foolish targets. She had been developing small abilities more and more like being able to sense a threat a nearly 50 miles away and empathy.

She was cleaning the training room and suddenly heard a commotion hearing Blood splatter shout from somewhere in the house, her mentor never shouted without reason , she changed quickly using a button Splatter had given her to get into costume and quickly both grabbed her weapons to help her mentor and saw a huge portal and he was pulled through. She grabbed a blast gun throwing it across her back, not knowing what she was up against and she took a deep breath before jumping into right after him.

She arrived through the portal seeing her teacher standing in front of a boy about her age and stood guard ready for action and quickly moved behind the boy in two flips with the knife at his neck "What do you want to to do Splatter?" She asked waiting for her teachers signal.

"Uh, hi!" I exclaimed. Didn't expect to be looking at this mountain of meat and his smaller sidekick. That's what I get for not understanding the source material beforehand. All I wanted was to get an up close look at this world. Just open the portal and take a look and the new characters.

That was one of the Book's faults. It sometimes drew in other characters because it misinterpreted my writing. It tended to take things literally and not ask for clarification.

There I stood, hands up at chest level, the Book laid on the desk behind me. The portal that brought them here closed. Now they were stuck in my small dorm room with me.

Carefully I looked them over. The big one's face was creased by a scowl, eyes stabbing me. At any moment I expected to be splattered along the back wall in a fine mist. "Nice to meet you!" I cried. "My name is Max...."

The Book snapped shut. It glowed a faint yellow that faded. That meant the Book was done. If I wanted to send them back, I had to restart the process.

"What's your name?" forcing a smile across my face. My eyes looked him over once again and then at his sidekick, this woman who I was unfamiliar with but dumbstruck by her appearance.

Sybil stayed in position as her boss had told her to while he had examined the room. It was far differnt than their home, they were somewhere else and it made her uneasy and on high alert but she knew to analyze before acting on anything, because she was respectful of her teacher.

She looked at the mans face unmoving and serious and wondered what kind of strange wizard in training this was as he watched them frightened, it had to be the work of a villain and she waa sure Splatter had suspected that fact. She could also tell Spatter wasn't in the best of moods especially not knowing where exactly they were because it was all unfamiliar.

She was stunned hearing the man nervously introduce himself and saw how pissed Spatter was he had summoned the two and then asked for names.

She was sure they were in the lair of a mad man making potions to release, she had never heard any villain make something like that the mad man had the nerve to introduce himself as Max.

Spatter looked annoyed and nodded to her as a signal and she pressed the blade closer to his throat making him bleed a little and pressing her body against his" It would be so easy...to end your pathetic little life right here...but we would be trapped a place unfamiliar to us.. Why are we here.. where are we?" She said angrily

Spatter walked behind I'm placing the barrel behind his head and she saw the fear in the man he wasnt a villain he had to be a civilian, she shook her as he gave her a look letting him know he wasn't evil she had a sense for these things.

"We are not friends Max... return us now" she said seeing from the look on the mans face as he stared over her body pervertedly like she knew alot of men did " Focus!" She sneered " How could you summon us and not know the two deadliest assasins in Aden City? Where are we? It is strange here"

"Answer her" Spatter said roughly pushing the barrel rougher on the back of his head, she knew her mentor was smart enough not kill and so was she they just wanted to get home and possibly stop the man from summoning more portals.

Kinda hard to speak clearly with a blade to your throat that slowly rubbing its way through the skin. On top of that having this...woman...pressed against me, my mind was going elsewhere when it really should not have. My mind flashed with thoughts. If they killed me then they wouldn't be able to get back. They don't know how the Book works. That was something to hold against them.

That big one thundered and pushed against the back of my head, "Okay. Okay" swallowing hard. "It works like this, okay, I have the power to pull people from other realities into mine. Right now you're in my college dorm room. If you don't want to get the security involved. If I really did wanted to kill you, you'd be dead already." That was an idle threat. The Book had its code of rules. One of them was, I couldn't use it to kill my enemies.

The Book sat on my desk next to the big one. Closed and the yellow hue still gone.

That hot sting against my throat throbbed as she held it there to extract every bit of useful information. "I brought you here because of curiosity. There's a new game coming out and, well, you're in it. I wanted to get a look at the insides of the place before I bought it."

That was partially true. I also wanted to get a good look at the female characters of the game. Being inside it was like being in a Rated X movie. There were no rules. Just fun. That's what got me through the mid-terms and finals for awhile. Today I must have done something wrong. Skipped a step in the process. These characters haven't been altered by the magic. They were 'in character'. If they killed me then I would be dead in real life. Being stabbed and bashed to death by a mountain of meat and a busty woman in my dorm is not how I wanted my obituary to read.

Sybil chuckled at the man's threat she could tell he was nervous and that threat was empty and she nicked him with her blade gently drawing a little blood. She looked into his eyes and leaned in licking it knowing it would both arouse and shock the man and confuse him.

She leaned in whispering in his ear and said " Normally I don't take kindly to empty threats, if you could kill or get rid of us you would, not that Master Splatter or I would be gone easily"

She stepped back a bit as did her Mentor and she was annoyed he said he brought them there as a game " I don't what kind of game you intended this to be, but it is not fun for any of us "

He also said he wanted to look inside places before he bought it and Sybil scoffed thinking he thought to buy her as a lady of the night" Buy us?! What do you take me for mad man?" She said stepping back and folding her arms.

She paced a bit behind her master who stood staring Daggers at him. Splatter gripped her arm to stop her and she sighed knowing her anger was and anxiety were building and he could tell and she knew one of them had to keep level because he was about to blow the mans head off she could tell from how tightlyhe gripped the gun.

She placed her hand on the hand holding the gun and gripped it gently to help him lower it.

" Well what do you expect us to do? We are obviously in another country i doubt you have means to send us home with a bed that small" she said and rolled her eyes.

How do I reply to this? It was frustrating. They were 'in character' and I couldn't break it because it was their coding. It would be the same as if I drew out Superman and told him that he was just a comic book character. He wouldn't believe it and then try to save what he thought was his word.

Anyway! That was getting into that whole multiverse theory that just confused myself. That sharp sting to my neck was annoying. The show of strength that they could take me any time they want. "Look, it's as simple as this, I opened the portal to your world just to take a look inside. The portal is like a door, if you open it either way, anyone on the other side can come in. That's what happened here. You aren't suppose to be here."

As soon as I said that I looked over at the dorm door rather nervously. Even though it was metal and heavy, people on the other side could hear if they merely placed their ear to it. Being this was a college dorm full of horny and unabashing teenagers with no adults around, spying on people was at an all time high. I could hear footsteps on the other side. Hope to god no one comes knocking.

"Look, if you want to go back to your world, I can do that, but you want that to happen, you gotta let me get to my books. That's the key to all of this..." nervously eyeing the book beside me. Having said that now I was alarmed that they may try to grab it and run back into their world. If they did it would alter everything!

"Maybe there is a way we can make this a little pleasant for everyone, yes? I don't want any trouble" I began to say while inching my way towards the book. If I could get it then it would be my shield. There was no way I could fight either of them, let alone both. Only way out was to send them back.

Sybil watched him carefully an jnew well when people were going make movement and stepped in front of him seeing him eyeing that book " Master grab that!" She said quickly seeing him give her a look at her bosiness and she knew hed warn her had this been anytime else but she was normally the one highly in tune with situations like this, she could tell her master was still processing them being in a differnt world.

Sybil saw the shocked look on the guy's face " We dont want trouble either.. tell me.. how are we going to fix this? Master Splatter take the bed and us the floor? Or maybe i sleep on top of you.., you cant try any magic that way and im sure its more comfortable than this fabriced floor ?

She wanted to make the best of things until they figured it out but she also didnt want the madman having anything he could use against them, they promised not to harm him and would keep that word as long as he hadnt done anything stupid for them to react.

The slab of meat went towards the book. Against my better judgement I turned and grabbed the Book quickly and held it against my chest. No one else should even touch this book, let alone try to use it. They mustn't get ahold of this. Now that I've made the mistake of grabbing it, what can I do? I'm still stuck in this small room with two of them.

In my mind I was trying to think of something. Maybe open a portal to another one of the worlds. Jump through there and then run for my life. Jump into a second portal and leave them trapped in that other world?

Summon a third person into this and have them all fight to the death? If I do that then it will tear this whole place apart. Probably crush me in the process.

"Look" I said desperately, "You cannot use this book. Its power is beyond your comprehension. It is more powerful than anything in your world or mine." Ideas were now fighting in my mind over what to do. Probably the only real way of getting out was to just run for it.

Her master growled seeing him grab the book and she could tell he was pissed , he wss about to attack the man and she quickly stepped in front his big figure towering over her

"I Tire of this Sybil! We have have other things to do than to play these games, if we kill him and figure this thing out ourselves we can be on our way home" he said and she agreed somewhat.

"YES master but this is t our world, we are t sure how things work her, give the madman a chance? " she said and he grunted

"Five minutes and were leaving , I don't like the perverse way he eyes you" He said gruffly and Sybil blushed emabarrased knowing her mastee was protecfive of her like a father or uncle.

Perverse way I was looking at her? I was looking at a mountain of meat and a woman who appeared in my room and now wanted to kill me! How else was I going to look? The way she stepped between us men and tried to size up the situation started to relax me a little. "Look, I can send you back to your world, but you have to realize that, a portal like that is like a regular door. Anything, or anyone, can come through from both ends. The longer a portal stays open, the higher the chance becomes that something else will come through! Also, if you take this book into your world, any someone tries to use it, they will become more powerful than anything in the universe. Do you want that to happen?"

Just as I said that there was a shrill cry from outside the dorm followed by banging. My heart immediately sank. Shit! My worst fear came true. Something else got out without any of us realizing it! Book still in hand I ran to the dorm's door and threw it open. In the brightly lit, and narrow, corridor my head twisted left and right. Students were screaming and running in every direction. "What's going on!" I demanded. No one was listening. They just kept running.

Closing the door and looking at the pair, "Well, shit!" was all I could say about this."

Sybil heard that chilling laugh and knew immediately who it was. She looked out seeing the people running and then glanced at the guy knowing Ice a villain from their world was headed straight to this room, he had an obsession with her, more so her blood and it had something to do with her lineage but Sybil couldn't worry about that now she was the only one who could take him on ability wise she would just need her master's help to subdue him once he got weak enough. They could never kill him he was a shadow demon, but they could stop him for now.

This world was different, she didn't know how it worked but she knew if they fought here many would die " I know we're in disagreement wizard , but you need to send us somewhere out side of this now, or many will be hurt or worse" she said.

She glanced up eyes wide as he stood in doorway and threw someone out of the way most likely causing injury or worse. "Ahhh there she is...I knew you were here I could sense it"

She sighed and said " hurry now!"

For a moment I froze staring at this guy. Sybil's command shook me out of it. Cracking open the Book unleashed a low glow that illuminated my face. Flipped through the golden pages and found one that would work in a jiffy. I didn't want to go back to their world and possibly die at the hands of either of these people. So I opted for a remote area in our world, some isolated island in the Pacific where it was warm and no one around for hundreds of miles.

Picturing the place that I wanted to go, I did I wrote on the page where I wanted to go just as this character, Ice, looked at me and his eyes widened. Perhaps he knew what was going to happen. When it was written out the room filled with this bright yellow light. It swept all of us away leaving my dorm room empty.

For going all that mileage it was just a quick as a snap of the fingers. Perhaps not the most ideal place, but there was no risk of anyone else getting hurt. Except for that last guy, the one Ice threw, his name was Ethan and was a real prick. So, that was kinda funny.
Anyway, the portal open and the four of us spilled out onto the bright white sandy beach with its thick undergrowth and palm trees slightly bending in the flat, open landscape. The sky was a rich bright blue and waves crashed upon the shores, curling as and did and turning into a white spray.

"That's quite a power you have there" Ice flashed a smile at me. "May I borrow it?" holding out a hand to me as if asking nicely would get me to turn it over.

"Screw you, cockroach!" I spat. "You'll never get this!" slowly backing away from him.

Sybil quickly moved between the guy and ice, it was clear the guys intentions weren't malicious to both her and splatter but one thing she could not allow was Ice getting whole of that book and she knew she would have to resort to using the ability she and splatter had named Aura that she discovered not too long ago that had him obsessed with her in the first place.

" You know you can beat me.. why do you insist on trying to capture me for my blood demon, master and I will never allow that to happen!" She said and gasped as he lunged quickly and she pushed Max out of the way getting nicked a bit by his claw.

Ice grinned stepping back and licking his hand tasting her blood a bit " Oh so I can't kill that one huh Sybil? Like I killed that last man who was near you? What is this one special to you? Only I can have you! " he yelled and she hit the whip his way hearing him growl in frustration.

"Go near master please he won't hurt you!" Sybil said to Max

For a moment my eyes were blinded by the dazzle of light and the lightning quick movements of Sybil. This was serious and I wasn't going to stand there and question. Clutching the Book tightly against my chest slowly back peddling towards that slab of meat, my eyes fixated on the show before me.

"Hurry up, witch. Do your fancy stuff and get us out of here!" Splatter placed one of his massive hands in front of my body as if to shield me from the fight still raging in front of us.

"Right. Right!" I said and cracked open the Book. The golden glow from the pages immediately drew the attention of Ice. A quick look at the ritual and the Latin was seared in my head. I quickly made the incantation.

"Oh, no, you don't!" Ice's eyes flared. Bringing back his left hand across his chest he swung it in a wide arc as if to swat Sybil aside to get to me. He was too slow. The portal rapidly opened. Its rim a bright yellow.

"Hang on!" I said. Even for a big guy like Splatter was sucked into it. In a flash the portal sucked all four of us inside and instantly closed leaving my room as if a tornado went through it.

Next thing I knew I was staring up at a bright blue sky. A warm sun beaming down upon me. "Ugh" I groaned aching from head to toe. That part I hated. Portal journeys are quick but also rough. The Book lay beside me on the left. To the right lay Splatter. Where's Sybil? That question I asked myself and sat up to find her about ten yards away laying beside Ice.

Sybil gasped as she was pulled through the portal and sighed slowly coming to realizing ice was beside her and moved a split second before he grabbed her her reflexes cat like and used her light whip to restrain him.

" Shit!" She cursed from the close call and used all her weight trying to hold the man down who was dragging her in anger like a bucking bull nearly lifting her but she planted her feet " Fuck ! Master I need help quickly restraining him he's weakened but he's fighting like a maniac!

She saw her master grunt annoyed with shadow knowing he could actually pin the shadow demon with Sybils help but he couldn't kill him.

"We need to train you how to kill this thing before he comes after you again" he said gruffly and angrily

" Wizard ... are you able to send him somewhere? Somewhere isolated for now? I know he'll come back once he figures without he's a locator type but we can't deal with him right now and I'm sure you don't want a massacre"

No. I didn't. I thought of a place, opened the Book, and called in a incantation. Towards Sybil I said, "When I tell you, throw him into the portal!" It was a place not of this Earth. Mars. I was sending his ass to Mars. It was the first thing that came to my mind. The red planet would have its first human visitor.

"What? What! No!" Ice struggled upon hearing my words. He flailed about. Throwing his legs into the air and expanding his shoulders to break the lock he was in. All to no avail. "You can't do this to me! After all that I've given you! You're not meant for these people. You are meant for me and me alone!" The more he struggled the more strained his voice became. His eyes and veins bulged.

The Book opened with its warm glow. I said the Latin words and the portal opened before the pair. She had to be quick or the portal would suck her in as well. "Go! Throw him in!" I yelled.

Sybil heard the demon shouting that she was his and not to send him and she could feel the anger radiating off of him. She knew he would rampage if they didnt send him now and she was greatful her master was there to steady her otherwise the force he was pulling her with might've broken the restraints.

Whereevr the wizard was sending him with his book, she knew he would survive , it was just a matter of when would he return and how could they prepare for it, the demon had seen Max's face now and saw him as a competitor for her, he was marked , the demon attempted killing Splatter once as well but a man that large it was more of an irritating task then and actual victory he was just too large and strong to take down.

She felt the portal pulling them and got close enough she knew it would be successful before releasing the restraint and splatter grabbed her pulling her back " Close it!" He said gruffly

"What! No! Noooooo!" Ice screamed as his body cartwheeled towards the portal. "You will never be rid of me!" was his last words before he disappeared and the portal snapped shut.

"Oh, thank god!" I gasped then collapsed upon the bright sand. It was over. For now. The Book lay at my knees. A moment to gather my thoughts before the two figures shuffled over to me. The giant stood imposing and blocking out the Sun.

"Are you guys okay?" I asked them nervously. My eyes shifted back and forth between them, trying not to lock on for too long and get a harsh rebuke from either of them. Usually this would be the time we get to know each other and strike up a casual conversation. The looks from this pair was anything but friendly. "That was quite impressive" taking up the Book and erecting myself, dusting off the sand from my knees with one hand.

For Ice the journey felt like a blink of an eye, but he travelled several million miles tumbling through a tube of pulsating purple and white light. "I will have you!" he tried to say. The portal opened and spat him out. To his horror he realized he was now on the red, sandy surface of Mars.

Sybil groaned holding her side the scratch Ice gave her when she protected the wizard a little deeper than she had thought but she had managed to hide it well until she had stumbled a little and she saw her master glare at her.

" Remove your hand" he grunted seeing she was holding her side as they made their way over toward the man and she refused but he moved he hand forcefully so her could see and she winced and dropped from the pain " Master please i can-"

"Shut up girl that was stupid"Splatter said grufflly in a way of showing her affection and lie her back on the sand. He lifted her shirt and cursed seeing the little poison and blood and knew he could absorbs
it but would need the witch's help and sybil seemed to trust him.

" Im ok but she isnt wizard, she got this protecting you, hold her shoulders so she wont fight this will hurt a bit removing from her." The large man said seeing Sybil going into a cold sweat " Hurry before she passes out"

Normally I don't do well around blood. Real blood. Makes me squemish. Still, I followed the command and walked around to her head, fell to my knees, and set the Book beside her head and gently placed my hands upon her shoulders. Being careful not to press down hard and cause more pain.

She had done a good job in hiding her wound and her pain for I did not notice it until he did. I could use the Book to conjure up the right medicine, but he knew how to treat her more than I did. So, I would follow his lead.

"Don't be so hard on her. She did fight the guy" I said in Sybil's defense. All that did was draw a hard leer from the big guy. "I don't know much about him. Who is this guy? His name is Ice, right?"

It was when I got this close to Sybil that my feelings started to change. Even with all my magic and abilities, my personal relationships are non-existant. This was the closest I have been with a woman in quite some time. Even touching one. From the start my heart started to pick up and I bit my lower lip. God, I hope I don't say something stupid that would cause her to slap me.

"Hi..." I said rather nervously looking down at her.

Sybil couldnt talk or barely from the pain and the fact that her master had lie her down and exposed her flat tined stomach. She knew he had seennfar more of that from her, she hadnt worn much clothing when he discovered her not beung able to afford them as a refugee and he had been angry and took her in very young explaining why she should dressed.

She saw him kneel then say something to the man but could barely hear as her pulse increased and her heartbeat quickened. She knew itd be painful if he called the man over and she wanted to bolt then , his healing was alway effective but Splatter wasnt the most gentle with it because of his nature.

She felt his large hand hold her down and felt a bit scared and then felt the which come hold her upper half her chest rising and falling from the cold sweat kicking in and her master getting ready to treat her.

She heard the man talk back to her father figure defending her and chuckled softly, the witch mustve had a death wish or was breaver than she thought, she felt flattered he'd done so because noone aside from her master had done that.

"Hi" she said and smiled weakly not having the energy to do much else.

She heard her master grunt not having time to argue as he heated a blade slicing into her a bit. She felt the moment it hit her skin and heard the sizzle as it cut into her a bit and screamed loudly arching her body upward but unable to move much because she was pinned and tried to wriggle out of their grasp bucking her body.

She kicked the big man back a bit and he cursed " You can fight me all you want little girl , if that seeps into your blood any deeper youre dead and i wont have that" he said gruffly surprised by the kick and held her kicking and all as he reached in touching the nicked artery and saying and incantation his arm glowing and bloody as he removed the poisonous curse from her.

She let out a string of curses to both her master and the man crying and screaming until she passed out.

Splatter finished a few moments later and sealed the cut with his healing blade. She sighed and lifted her easily " Where in this world can i take her to rest?" He said gruffly still annoyed with the man for speaking with him like that but knew sybik would be upset if he killed him and knew he was the one who could help them in this unfamiliar place.

A beach was a nice place to rest. Problem was, there was nothing here. No settlements. Just crabs and sand. "I know of a place," taking the Book back into my hands and thumbing through it for the right page. Splatter took up the girl into his huge arms. "Ah ha!" thinking of an isolated area that would be perfect, the Colorado mountains. Saying the incantation the portal opened. I snapped the Book shut, thumbed the portal, "Let's go!" and jumped right on in.

In a flash we were at a small cabin on the peak of a forested hill overlooking the Cascade River that drained into the Cimarron Valley. The pine trees grew thick and lush in green. The cabin had the modern amenities, including indoor plumbing and hot water.

Despite his size, Splatter was able to negotiate the cabin's interior. Gently he placed Sybil on a twin-sized bed and covered her up in warm blankets and setting aside her weapons. There was no telling how long it would take for her to recover.

"That was dangerously close, sorcerer. We nearly lost her. Thanks to you she is safe. At the same time, I should hit you for putting us in that same danger!" Splatter growled at me while in the cabin's living room. The scowl on his face was intense. "You should not play with magic that you do not understand! How did you come about with such power?"

There wasn't a lot to say about it. "All I know is, my father gave it to me. He has never told me what it really is, or how he came about gaining it."

"That is a dangerous weapon. You use it to line your pockets" the man growled.

What I wanted to say was, I'm very careful with it. With what just transpired that wasn't the full truth. While I was careful, today just wasn't the right day for me. By the looks of this guy he wanted to take the Book away from me, take Sybil and go back to their world, leaving me at this cabin alone.

Sybils eyes fluttered open and close a half hour later her body adjusting to its enviornment and she felt the soft material beneath her. She smelled blood and her eyes immediately flew open and She sat up quickly, defensive not knowing what situation she was in or where.

She looked over spotting her shirtless master and looked down seeing he had put his shirt one her which fit her small frame like a dress and was happy her underwear hadn't been removed and blushed seeing the man there and just knew her master changed her right there in front of him, he hadn't had much sense when it came to her being womanly in his eyes, he had always treated her equally but she knew all men didn't view her the way he did no matter how strong she was.

"W-where are we" she said looking around and felt how dehydrated and sore she was.

"An old cabin of mine" I replied with a smile. Shying away from making eye contact my feet carried me to a small wood table against the far wall. There the Book was set and locked. The key placed in my pocket. Not wanting to boast about what happened, my tone was flat, "We went through a portal and brought us here. That guy that was after us, Ice, right? He was sent to Mars!" That was the truth. Since I didn't know about who he was exactly, it may have not been the best decision. For all I knew he could thrive in that type of atmosphere.

"For right now, you're safe. The place is well stocked. We can lay low for awhile until we can come up with another plan" I said. By say 'We' I was purposely injecting myself into the plan. This was now my problem. Ice was, and these two, were brought here because of me. It was now my duty to clean it up.
