It rates 5 stars but aint that great of a read, that is, the author larded a good story with PC digressions about poor negroes who fled arrest and lost their balls when the police dogs caught them. I almost cried. Harry Bosch is on trial for shooting a serial killer who needed love and understanding more than an execution. Fuck the 9 women he killed. He was a dove with a broken wing.
Most of the story is the trial. I participated in hundreds of trials, and its accurate.
