Back in the day, commercial travellers or "reps" were a mainstay of the business world, helping to maintain contacts between suppliers and client firms of all varieties, shapes and sizes.
I suspect this function has been largely superseded by screens and remote "contact" of various kinds... but there may be some professions or industries where it's still considered important to have that "personal touch".
I posit a businessman whose job, for whatever reason, takes him away from home and office to visit clients every second week of every month, as regular as clockwork. He has to plan this carefully so as to arrange hotels for himself and visit the various customers in the most time-efficient way. He's now in his forties and has been doing this same job for many years. He's never once suspected his mid-thirties wife of any infidelity. She always waves him off lovingly and is there on the doorstep to welcome him home at the end of the week.
One day, through a totally wild and unusual combination of circumstances, he discovers a flash drive in one of her bedside chest of drawers. It seems to be hidden away under some clothing for some reason. He doesn't recognise it.
What could be on it, is what I'm wondering..?
