Landerport is an enormous city along the Luschany Coast of the Hausteros continent, and capital of the Kingdom of Aedyria. There are eight other Kingdoms along the Coast, which is a slice of land between the Eldanic Ocean to the west and the Dragonspine Mountains to the east. Beyond the range, the land drops down into rolling grasslands that eventually turn into desert. This area is home to tribes of Orcs, Trolls, and Goblins, so civilized folk tend to stay west of the Dragonspine, save for bands of adventurers setting out for loot and spoils.

Most of the civilized world lives in the Nine Kingdoms of Hausteros and their territories abroad, some of which include the tropical Kowai Islands to the south and the Isles of Faeroerne in the North Eldanic. Each Kingdom and it's foreign states are ruled by their own royal family, and in the case of Aedyria, that is House Vogelsar. They live in a sprawling palace estate north of Landerport known as the Emerald Keep.

The city itself is split in half by the River Qaarn, which travels from the mountains down into the ocean. The North Side is home to the nobles and merchant lords, while commonfolk dwell on the South Side. A series of bridges connects the two sides over the Qaarn, built high enough to allow boats to pass underneath, with the largest being Praetor's Pass. This one was built very wide, with an archway in the center leading under the Ironwood Tower that raised up above it.

From the Lookout on top of Ironwood Tower, the City Watch could monitor both sides of the river, but their priority was always the wealthier Houses and markets. This made it easier for criminal activity on the South Side, especially in Bowel Bottom, which was partially obscured from Ironwood Tower by Alghanna's Hill. The slum sat between the Hill and the South Wall, a patchwork of narrow streets and dark alleys. Alghanna's Hill was a large grassy hump that had once been used as a park of sorts, but since then beggars and orphans too scared to head down into the slums have set up tents and huts along the old paths.

And that brings us to our characters. We start off as residents of Bowel Bottom, doing whatever it takes to survive, and this RP tells the story of our characters as we commit crimes and then embark on adventures, with the ultimate goal of amassing enough loot to one day indulge in the high-class brothels and taverns on the North Side and purchase an estate in Amberleigh, the richest district in the city.

As for our characters, to tie them in together, we could say they are all orphans who grew up on the streets of Bowel Bottom, and formed a closeknit family of sorts. At the start of the RP, we have been living in a room at the run-down Haggar's Inn, rented to us by Haggar himself in exchange for sexual favors and barmaid services from the women and labor and guard duty from the men.

Haggar is a fat, old, bearded piece of shit, and secretly we all want to kill him. He takes a sadistic joy in watching women choke on his dick because he knows they have no other choice. We only live here because we can't afford anywhere else, and it beats returning to sleeping in the alleys. The only reason we haven't murdered him and taken over his inn is because he is protected by the Shamshirs, a large gang wielding scimitars. When the males perform guard duty, they are sometimes required to work with the gang, which is also very sadistic.

It might be cool if some of the female characters are disgusted being Haggar's wenches and would much prefer to wield swords and daggers and bows like the men. That would make it an easier transition into an adventurer.
