The cavernous, empty lobby of Trump's DC hotel at 8pm on a Friday night

I doubt it will be his hotel for very long. He doesn't own it. It's leased from the government, and, while all questioning of that leasing was shoved under the rug during his golfing spree White House tenure, it's come out again now and is making its way through the Inspector General circuits.

You're ignoring the reality that some of us have expressed opinions that Biden's performance here has left something to be desired. More importantly, you're ignoring the reality that Trump's actions when he was in office forced Biden's hand. It's more than reasonable to factor that in while assessing Biden's performance.

Trump is not “gone.” He just did an interview with Hugh Hewitt. He posts regularly on his Save America website. He held a rally last week.

Forbes journalist Zach Everson has been permanently banned from the Trump International Hotel, ostensibly for taking photographs, he reported Friday.

After a quick visit to the bar of the Washington hangout, a drink, a few photos and a text on Thursday night, Everson said he was ordered to leave by Ernest Wojciech, the hotel’s director of security. Wojciech told the journalist he was getting the boot for “taking photos without permission,” Everson reported in Forbes. The reporter was then told the ban was for life.
