OOC: Just a wee lil camping tale, full of friends and frolic. No plot in particular, just seeing where it goes. All are welcome.

I shrugged the backpack from my shoulders, letting it lean against the base of the giant oak. My gaze drifted over the scene before me and I could do nothing but smile in satisfaction. It was a perfect spot for our last foray before going our seperate ways. It was one we had used many a time in the past. Most of the general population of our small town avoided this area. Pretty much due to the strenuous hike that was required to arrive here. It was their loss in my opinion, I definitely wasn't complaining. The area was quiet as well as private, and definitely don't forget lovely. Lovely indeed.
The clearing was beautiful. A small patch of soft green grass was edged with several large oaks. Their canopy of leafy branches providing excellent shade. The small river that ran through the mountains did a somewhat dramatic and unexpected turn here as well, cascading over the cliffside into a refreshing waterfall. The torent of water collected into a deep pool before edging its way down the mountain side yet again.
This would be our last camping trip for quite a while. Most everyone was leaving for college in the next couple of weeks and what was better to send everyone off than a going away party out under the late summer sky. Absolutely nothing in my book.
"Might as well begin to set up. The others should be arriving soon." I thought to myself as I turned back to my pack and began to remove the supplies I had brought. The sound of the rushing water drew my gaze yet again as I glanced back at the cool water. "Oh what the hell!" I pondered for all of a second before coming to the conclusion that unpacking can wait! I laugh to myself as I kick off my shoes, socks soon following. Turning to rush to the water, a string of clothes quickly removed litter the way only to be followed shortly by a resounding splash and giggle. Isn't life grand?!
