The second rifle cracked in the early dawn, the deadly bullet catching me in the flesh part of my leg. Immediately the horse beneath me began to lag as our combined life bloods poured out of us.
With its last flagging breathes the mare brought us to the edge of a dense wood and then collapsed, its weight pinning me beneath it as it fell.
"Stupid animal" I cursed into the air "Die in your own grave, but let me find my own and on my own time!"
And that wasn't far off, I thought as my nostril caught the smell of.....smoke? Not this far out, Not where even the the army had refused to go
With my last coherent thought I tried to figure out what the smell of smoke and....perfume? The world went black>>>>>>
Perhaps its a reach but looking for a few players to make a story line from this????
