I've read the first Bourne book, and seen the new movie. The movie is pretty cool. One of the fight scenes is SO cool. But, if you've read the book and you think movies should be like the book, you may want to shy away from it. Very little of what the movie showed happened in the book. Either way, I recommend both. The book is a great read and the movie is worth the price of admission.

Well I don't want to give away anything, but I'll just say that the movie doesn't even mention Carlos once, and that should give you an idea about how it follows the book.

She's pretty darned hot in a weird sort of way.

I found their kissing scene to be very tastefully, very erotically done.

Some of the places from the book were there, but the circumstances and the people in those places were allllll messed up. I could go more into it in PM if you'd like, don't want to spoil it for you or anyone else who wants to see it or read it.

Siren, I guess they feel if they did follow the book too much it wouldn't be exciting enough? It would be hard to describe everything going that was going through his head on screen.

Why do they butcher the stories up so much?
It isnt that hard to stay true to the original story, but they always want to change it and manipulate the book into the movie.

If you want to change the story, then why bother doing the book at all?

I figure it's only to get the built in audience, that & the curious people that "always wanted to read that".

Commercialism, not art.

I think "Dracula" was better as a book than any of the movie dramatizations.

I'm wondering how this movie compares with the first one, which starred Richard Chamberlain?
